Happy Monday!

good morning!
well, we didn't do our usual Sunday drive yesterday...
we went shopping again and out to lunch, again...
DH needed sunglasses, so we headed to the eye place at Walmart in Charleston...
and I picked up a few more things while we were there...

so the photo shoot happened after we got home...
while he took a nap...

we were up in the middle 40s and the snow was melting...
this is the pile at the end of the street...

it should be mostly gone after today and completely gone after tomorrow...
I bought a Vanguard tripod for my camera last week in a local online garage sale for $10...
so I decided to try it out...

I can finally zoom all the way now with the tripod...

so this is just around my yard...

our new bird feeder that we grabbed on Saturday...
got the S hooks yesterday at Ace Hardware...
hopefully, we won't have to fill every day now...

I will be playing with this more when it warms up and we can get the deck cleaned off and ready to go for summer...
I am looking forward to setting it up to get better shots of the birds when they come to feed...

I have no plans for today but to lie around and take it easy...
and rest up from the weekend...

some of you have asked what kind of camera I use...
well, its a cheap one...
when I get a new camera, I look for the amount of pixels...
the more the better the image...
and since I am limited to movement...
I like a good zoom...

I bought it off of Walmart.com...
and for a cheaper one...
you can't beat it...
I prefer Canon, even though I have used a Kodak in the past...
and they produce some great images, too...
so its up to you which brand you pick...
just look at the numbers...
and compare for the price...
if you have to deal with a company for any issues...
I have been pleased with Canon...
their customer service is awesome...

so there you have it...
no secrets here...
I just point and click...

  1. we have about the same cam! it looks the same. but you have "higher numbers," than mine.

like, yours has 14.1 mega pixels. mine has only 8.0 mega pixels. your zoom is 12X and mine is 10X, etc., etc.

and I didn't even _know_ to look for more pixels! duhhh me.

nor have I ever gotten a tripod, although lots of bloggers use them. and of course, it would help. especially me. seems the more I try to hold still, the more my hand "shakes"!!! lol.

oh and I hold my breath, when trying to get a shot! lol. as if that, would help me hold my hands still! lollllllllll.

  2. Hi Tete, Looks like you had a nice Sunday and picked up some nice goodies.
So great your snow is melting and soon it will be spring.
Your camera takes really good shots. Yes, the pixels are important. I got a Sony for Christmas and it is 20.1 pixels and I love it.
Take care and have a blessed week.
    Hugs, CM

  4. Your camera is a bit newer than the one I have but it is the same type. I love mine, have gotten some awesome photos with it I have 3 tripods, picked them up for nothing or just a bit more. They help a lot.
Our snow is gone as of yesterday, the rain finally melted it.
