we don't have a lot of fall going on here just yet...

drought conditions and warmer weather than normal...

just isn't turning the leaves, but they are falling slowly...

and all brown...

no fall colors...

puttering around in the house...

cleaning, organizing...

purging old things that have been replaced...

it's a wonderfully sunny day in the mid 70's...

perfect weather for me...

getting some things done this morning and about to do lunch and a nap...

fall is a wonderful time...

a time to catch your breath...

between summer and winter...

and its always a good time to be thankful for all that God has given you...

the only way I can manage the fibro and arthritis is with God's grace...

He sees me through the hardest of days...

the longest nights...

and gives me strength to endure it all...

and He blesses me with good days...

peace in the storms...

and joy in my heart...

let Him guide you when you cannot see the path...

and let others know how good it is to follow Him...

I used to talk about doors all the time...

praising Him in the hallway until another one opens...

of letting go of the doorknob of the door God just closed...

He did it for a reason...

to save you...

to give you more...

you just don't always know why until you open the other door...

but there is a rule of not having two doors open at one time...

just nail a board over it so you can move on to what God has waiting for you!

is to teach your children how to pray...

so they always have a friend with them...

no matter what is thrown their way...

took yesterday off...

working on some things here...

and I just needed a break...

with a burn ban...

it's going to be one of those dull falls for us...

it was one of the first ones that I remember as a kid...

fall is a wonderful time of the year...

can I take a shower, get dressed and go somewhere?

without my energy being gone before they load me in the van?

many times when you do see us out...

that is the only thing we are able to do in a day...

the rest of the time...

we are in bed...

on the couch...

just sitting...

because we used it all up...

and then someone says, well you look ok to me...

if you were that sick, you wouldn't be out running around...

you don't see the down days...

the hours of physical therapy we do...

the pain...

be kind to those who struggle...

we are people, too...

be blessed...

happy fall days...

we are still warm here...

got a few more days of hot before we get a little cooler...

nights here are cool...

almost no humidity...

going from 90 to into the 50s at night...

so we are running the ac during the day...

and have the furnace on at night...

we have another week of hotter weather...

and we are so dry here...

in the drought zone...

there is a burn ban...

but the farmers are in the fields...

you can see the dust clouds for miles...

there have been a few field fires...

nothing close to us...

going to decorate this weekend for fall...

not doing much, but just a bit...

I watched most of it...

what a spiritual event...

a holy event...

a sampling of all kinds of people who influence our lives...

a coming together of races, ages...

united...

singing gospel songs...

praising God together...

and those on the stage, talked about needing Jesus in your life...

God, Family, Country...

in that order makes your lives better, the country better, the world better...

opening talking about Jesus dying on the cross and that he rose again in 3 days...

unashamed...

the country watched...

the world watched...

God watched...

keep praying...

pray hard...

things are changing...

I saw all the faces as they showed the crowd...

all generations standing together...

all ages...

there is hope in that...

keep throwing love out there...

hold onto God with both hands...

be blessed...

I changed a thing yesterday...

to those who never left my side...

 

I have had many friends through the years...

and most of them have come and gone...

only the very best have never left...

and it is a very small number...

I am so grateful for those who stayed...

today is our 42nd anniversary...

married to one of those who stayed...

how do you stop the darkness in the world?

in the hearts of those who cannot see beyond it?

you spread the light...

you share kindness with others...

you cover the void with love...

planting...

 

why do you plant seeds in the spring?

for flowers in summer?

why do you do that?

whatever made you think that those tiny little specks of seeds could ever be anything but little specks in the ground?

but you put them in the soil and keep them watered...

day after day...

week after week...

how do you know you will get flowers in the end?

isn't it an act of faith when you till the soil, pull the weeds and put the seeds in the ground?

that the cells in that seed have the knowledge to become a flower?

that will reproduce seeds for the next summer, too?

that you can do the same thing in God's garden...

that you can plant seeds of life, hope, love and redemption in a human?

that it takes steps to complete the process...

that we need to prepare our hearts for God's seeds...

we need to clear the weeds and plant seeds of His word in our hearts...

and in others, because there are many flowers in God's garden...

we need to feed the seeds, water the seeds...

make sure they are planted in the light...

so when harvest comes...

the blooms are there...

and they are making seeds to plant in others...

to share the light with the world...

humans need tending to...

especially in the world today...

we shall reap what we sow...

be blessed...

think about this...

 

just the thought that God values us...

that He loves us...

that He gave his son for us...

it's amazing...

be blessed...

thieves don't break into empty houses...

 

stay close to God...

a father protects his children...

be well, be safe, be blessed...

I am doing as much of this as I can...

we all need to try to do these things every day...

the world needs to follow this...

and to follow God and his teachings...

to let go of anything that would go against Him...

to lead by example...

to be the light in the world that others can see...

to lift each other up...

we are all on the same journey...

and we all have the same Father...

and I want you to know about God and Jesus...

His life, his death, his promises to us...

I want to share Him with you...

to let you know He loves you and wants you to love Him...

let Him be your savior, let Him hold you safe in His arms...

if the world didn't know about Charlie Kirk before... 

they do now...

he lived his life for God, Jesus, the bible, his family and his country...

he reached out to the youth in this land to tell them about Jesus and Heaven and love...

he did it with grace and he would talk to anyone...

no matter what they believed...

he was the light in a dark world that targets the young in our country...

when someone can be taken for speaking truth and love...

it shakes the world...

evil thought they could silence something good...

oh, but God will use this to amplify the message Charlie was bringing...

he will use others to spread the truth...

so many will take a stand and not back down...

  Charlie's podcasts are being played and shared like never before...

and if you haven't heard him...

listen...

pray for the family he had to leave behind...

a wife, 2 small children, a father who cried out in pain...

pray for the world he was trying to guide into the light...

pray for the one who pulled the trigger...

and pray for his family...

he wasn't taken because of what he said...

he was taken because people were listening...

and energy is something we lack...

we have to rest and recharge after every little movement...

be we keep on trying...

keep on praying and keep on trusting God with all we do...

how each of us was changed forever on that day...

assassinated for speaking the truth about God, Jesus and the bible...

today is his real birthday...

arm yourselves with God's word...

how many of us have struggled to fit in...

in school, in our families, at work...

but when we follow Jesus...

we aren't supposed to fit in...

we are to stand out...

be set apart...

so when you feel alone and unseen...

know that the Father sees you...

He knows you...

He loves you...

and He is protecting you from things that would hurt you...

you were not meant to fit in on earth...

but for a higher place...

in the end, it will all make sense...

just trust and have faith...

God's got this...

the nights are cooler for now...

took our walk tonight at 56F...

a little nippy...

had to turn the furnace on this morning for an hour or so...

so DH already turned it over so it won't get so cold in here through the night...

but tomorrow is the last cool day for a bit...

back to hot and comfortable...

we have had some cooler weather, but will be heating up again in a few days...

we have been doing some inside sorting and cleaning and ridding out things that just make it hard to function...

if you have time today, say some prayers for Terri from Oregon...

should have had one cataract surgery done and another to go...

and she is fighting stage 4 breast cancer on top of all of that...

I am sure she would appreciate all the prayers we can send up for her...

comes in many different forms...

every creature on earth needs love...

and it's so easy to share with others...

but do you know that it's easy to love those who love you back...

but God wants us to love those who cannot love back...

that it takes time to teach others how to love...

and unless they know how to love...

it's really hard for them to understand how God loves us...

so we need to help them...

because until someone shows them unconditional love...

it's hard for them to grasp God's unconditional love for us...

we can quote scripture all day long, but it won't have the same effect until someone sees your faith in action...

God's pure love has no limitations...

we all belong to Him...

when you spread love, you share God and all His glory...

and so many need Him...

some days are better...

but there is always a time limit...

no matter what you do...

if you behave, sometimes you still flare...

and sometimes you can do everything wrong...

and you don't...

you never know what the next hour is going to be like...

it makes it almost impossible to plan anything...

you just have to go with the moment...

and sometimes we make plans and then have to change them...

do it another day, or in the afternoon and not in the morning...

or just forget it and try again next month...

it's not easy at all to live like this...

and you miss the old you...

how you could jump out of bed without thinking...

and just start doing anything you want to do...

trying to be "normal" takes a lot of planning...

a lot of prayer...

and just being patient for the right time...

she would have been 91 today....

I've been missing her for 31 years now...

but I know Jesus has her...

and she is safe and happy...

right where she is...

and I am at peace with that...

one look at His face will erase a lifetime of all those things...

keep your eyes on Him...

and just because we don't look sick today, doesn't mean the rest of the week or even month had any good days in it...
