this afternoon...

this is between our sinks in our bathroom...
the light is something Terri made me for Christmas several years ago...
the tray I bought off of Rebecca at one of her early barn sales...

the kerosene lamps are family pieces...
the middle one came from my grandmother...
the other two came from Steve's mother and grandmother...
some of the magazines I like looking through over and over again....
and a small vintage floral waste basket I got for $1 at a rummage sale some time ago...
and together they make a cute place to store my magazines...
Craig and I have been working on my bedroom off and on all week...
we still have the closet to do...
which is going to be the biggest job...
but we really need Steve...
so we will wait until next weekend...
still more to do...
green beans and tomatoes here...
hazy and rainy day....
daisies from Pat and Charles...
today's photographer...
Georgie came in very wet...
he knows to stay on the towel until he is dry...
talking to Rebecca now...
this morning the rain is coming down slowly...
and its a little cooler than it has been...
and the dampness clings to you...
I made this for our bedroom...
I wanted something vintage...
romantic and cute...
that said forever...

Have you ever looked around at the end of the day and think...

...oh my gosh, what happened in here?...
its one of those moments...
Steve has to work tomorrow...
all day...
so Craig and I have to put all this back in order...
until we mess it all up again...
Rebecca is camping...
and I'm having withdrawal...
I hope she is having a good time...
in spite of a little rain earlier today...
at 58, the camp fire will be the place to be tonight...
roasting marshmallows...
I miss the goo...
we need to get our fire pits cleaned out and ready to use...
I miss the glow...
the crackling...
and the conversations we have...
with no tv...
almost no phone...
and the bathroom is not so far away...
have a good night...

Trees for sale:

actually...
they are free...
they are everywhere...
these were coming up in the bedding plants on the porch...
we need to protect the enviroment...
and the ozone...
we had to give up hair spray...
might as well have leaves in the fall...
you know you need some...
give me a call...
