lazy afternoon...

after lunch we went back outside...

it was still misting...

but not enough to come through the trees...

tiger lilies are almost ready to open...

and we decided we were bored so DH and I got ready to head for the antique mall...

had to pay my booth rent and snag up my "big" check...

99 cents from paying my booth rent this month...

but I was thrilled...

it's only had 2 weeks of being stocked and rearranged by me personally...

and a pair of lamps sold this morning...

so 1/2 of the rent is already covered for next month...

so I think June will be a good month in there!

we drove through the street that my grandparents, mom and father in law used to live...

but I didn't take the camera today because of it being dark out...

mom's house looked great, she would have been happy...

my grandparent's house was wonderful!

my fil's house looked sad...

bushes were gone...

they had painted the porch a barn red/brown color and did a bad job of it...

the blue spruce is almost completely dead...

needs mowed...

weeded...

just sad...

it never looked like that when he lived there...

they must have started working on the inside first...

would have loved to see the inside of all of them...

but that's a little rude...

I am not sure who owns the properties now...

the old neighbors are almost all gone, too...

it was a street of elderly people for a long time...

but one by one...

they have left here...

and now it's a whole different neighborhood...

then we drove through the parking lot at Walmart and the flowers didn't look that good, so we didn't even stop...

went to KFC/A&W and got a couple of their 49 cent ice cream cones and headed back...

stopped at the green house and picked out 2 4 packs of snap dragons...

I need to get them planted tonight or in the morning...

Craiger went out to Tia's...

DH is taking a nap...

spaghetti is already made for supper...

we have kind of been snacking on it this afternoon...

you know, just to make sure it's good enough for supper...

it's only 5:15, but I think I will take my shower and get my night gown on...

my hair will be dry by bedtime that way...

cooler day...

over cast skies this morning left the temps lower than they have been...

the north fire pit area...

all cleaned up and sowed some grass seed out here...

picked up 2 more 4 packs this morning....

when we cleaned out the shed...

we found these cute little pots...

so DH and I worked on these and then replanted the hanging baskets...

they were not holding enough dirt and water...

found some deeper pots in the shed and used them...

but we added more pink to the deck and potting table area...

there wasn't a big selection...

went for petunias...

but most were too leggy...

so only did one pack of them...

then it began to drizzle so I put the phone and camera back in the house as we cleaned up and put things away...

only to go on and cut the stalks on the iris and weed the memorial garden...

moved a few little things...

sit out on the bench under the trees and watched it rain...

came in to do lunch...

not sure what the rest of the day will bring...

I was so sore last night...

it was bad...

but I am having a good day today...

being careful...

still sore but not miserable...

I am getting restless and want to get up and do something...

not sure what it will be but I don't think it's going to involve tv...

the guys think it has to be on 24-7...

not me...

I like my peace and quiet...

going to check to see if it's still raining...

but if it is, I may go out anyway!

the week is flying by...

I sat and watched the sun come up this morning...

on the newly cleaned off deck...

and we had some dew this morning...

and it's up...

casting shadows...

it was down to 63!

it was a little cool out there...

Debbie, we have an acre here...

Craig's going to remove the rest of the stuff when he gets home...

it's so tall this year...

Doug helped take some of the photos this morning...

and he didn't do too bad at all...

we found the flag in the shed...

and it was cleaned out first thing this morning...

someone is at the door...

puter problems..

having some minor problems with my mouse...

so, if I'm not one here for a few days...

I am waiting on a new one...

there have been 4 people using my puter...

and you know how it is when your kids get ahold of something...

usb port is not accepting my mouse...

could be I need a new mouse...

could be just dirty...

cleaned out my port and mouse...

but only works for awhile and then I have to unplug it and plug it back in...

and then when that no longer works...

I have to restart the puter...

so sore...

neck and shoulders are stiff and I am having muscle spasms in it...

I have been pushing it way too hard...

trying too much at one time...

but we are getting so much done...

and would like to have all the big jobs out of the way so DH can have a few days of his vacation without working so hard...

he needs some R&R in those loungers!

Craig starts his job this morning...

7-1:30...

pray he does well...

it's gona kill him...

he isn't used to it...

he is going to be working at the grocery store here in town...

until he can find something in his field...

and with gas prices...

he is driving a mile to work...

and he could walk it if he has to...

they are starting him out on chicken...

he works today and Friday...

then they will train him on something else...

he is to be their gopher...

so he has to be trained on everything...

our minimum wage here is $8.25 an hour...

that's why everything is so blooming high...

high school kids starting out flipping burgers are making over $8 an hour...

when I started working...

I made $1.65 at 16...

and I thought I was loaded!

and I worked hard for that...

my first job was a nurses aide in a nursing home!

I had plans for nursing school...

and I didn't have any problems working...

it was easier than working at home!

well, I missed another White Wednesday...

had no clue it was Tuesday...

with the holiday weekend and DH being off...

I have so lost track of time and days...

well, it's almost 5 am and the sky it lightening up...

it's 69 out, so I may just sneak out on the porch and watch the sun come up...

I should take my camera with me...

the guys are working on the shed today...

and maybe tomorrow...

then we need to hit the inside again...

they have trashed my house!

yippee!

de- cluttering the porch and weeding...

it's another hot day and this area is in the sun fast...

so we started here...

the shelf I got at the city wide fits in this little hole and holds more bloomers..

enclosed the tomatoes and pepper plant...

we can still water just fine and we can open it up to pick later...

moved the door out here... 

got out the blue paint again...

watered it down and blue washed the window frame and birdhouse...

grabbed the hammer and a couple of nails and made a little clothes line for the garden gloves on my potting bench...

dead headed and watered...

weeded and cut down the tulips...

moved the bike and watering can to the front of the house...

the guys cooked brats and hot dogs for lunch...

not sure if I'm going to rock this little area or plant it...

marigolds would help keep the skeeters away...

can't wait until we get the fence put in permanently...

3x3 posts and pickets on both sides...

more plantings...

we did these yesterday...

all that's left of the old bird bath...

we have used this area so much already...

it's where we take all our breaks...

I was out here so much yesterday and last night...

late last night...

it was so nice, I almost fell asleep out here...

I came in and went right to bed...

our banner...

there are 2 more in the shed somewhere...

I am really happy with the pansies this year...

it's a flower I usually bypass...

we need to clean the shed out tomorrow...

everything is coming out...

sorted...

pitched and put back in...

we decided to wait since we have a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon...

not a big chance...

but just as sure as we have it all out and all over the yard...

it would rain...

homemade taco pizza tonight...
