another trip to Ninny's...

Craig found these in the green house...

they are very short...

I found spider wart...

and a new columbine outside...

Craig thought these were pretty and the color is watermelon...

then it started raining...

so that was the end of potting...

but I did get a few done...

we did that while DH headed for town...

he brought back another knock out rose...

petunias, marigolds and snap dragons...

its a start...

have to go back to the nose doctor on Thursday so we will check things out again then at Walmart and Rural King in Paris...

tonight is prom night here...

much ado going on about town...

then I got a call from an old friend...

she had just heard that a very dear and sweet lady friend of ours passed away in her sleep last night...

a quiet lady, well kept, full of grace...

the world is a better place because she was here...

and I am so glad that God gave me the chance to meet her...

and to have had the honor of working beside her on a few projects...

remember Mary's friends and family this week as they say goodbye to a beautiful lady...

have a great weekend...

we are getting rain, so not much getting done outside...

but it just might be a good weekend to just relax, watch some movies and just hang out...

the iris are really showing their stuff this morning...

I was afraid none of the photos would come out...

it is so windy and chilly again today...

they were just bobbing around like mad...

I love his little grin...

he was saying something like...

"DON'T BLOG ME!"

but you know that wind was so strong, it really drowned it out, so I am not sure what he was saying...

(it was the only place he could find out of the wind)

Craig woke me at 3am really sick...

he had a sinus headache and started throwing up...

but he seems so much better now...

it doesn't matter how old you get...

when you're sick,  you still want your mom...

I love this color so much...

but I really would like some different colors...

still, these are so pretty in the spring...

mower guy came yesterday afternoon and it looks so good out there...

I miss the baseball and kickball games that used to happen out here almost every day...

but my kids grew up...

the neighbor kids grew up and moved away...

just not the same anymore...

the mower hasn't hit a baseball in years!

used to have a bushel basket sitting just inside the front door full of baseball mitts and a gallon bucket full of balls...

even if we weren't home, the door was never locked and the kids knew where they were...

and they always put them back when they were done...

the bats and bases were in the shed...

just wanted to show you the new bird cage I bought off of Rebecca last week...

she had it listed on a facebook garage sale site...

I fell in love as soon as I saw it...

it is so pretty...

and the bottom opens...

so you can stick things inside...

I still love silk florals...

and they last forever!

don't you just love it?

its going to be here for a long, long time...

well, not much going on around here...

laundry in...

one more load of whites to do...

need to make my bed...

lost another 2 pounds...

need to vacuum the kitchen and do lunch...

not sure what else...

but it depends on how I feel and what I start piddle fartin' around with...

I really don't think another walk is in the plans...

it seems like the season is moving along so fast here this year...

the clematis are almost done...

just a few more flowers to enjoy...

but fear not...

this crazy thing blooms twice for me...

so later on the summer...

she will do it again...

our rose of sharon looks really good compared to the neighbors'...

theirs looks dead, nipped by 2 nights of freezing temps...

I only have one bunch this color...

but I will be looking for more...

this is so shaded now...

it will feel so cool when those summer days come along...

still can't get over how these made it through the winter...

now, someone has been demanding my attention...

he is so bored with the flowers...

he is a true momma's boy...

I think this is the best shot I have ever gotten of him...

and he had to show off a little when I promised to blog him if he would smile for the camera...

but instead of smiling, he wanted to creep for you...

still no water...

they thought they would have it back on by noon...

but they still have the back hoe out there and they are still digging...

Craig ran up and bought 4 gallons of water...

the toilet needs flushed- I didn't make it to the field...

I do not have a thunder pot under the bed, but a call to my best friend could get me one...

could use one of my buckets, but hate to throw one of them away...

I told Craig he could use the litter box, since he's the one who cleans it out...

my hair so needs washed...

first thing I am doing after I flush the toilet is hop in the shower...

we did vacuum and dust...

swept the kitchen floor...

had hamburgers and chips on paper plates for lunch...

made the hamburger with rubber gloves on and just threw them away...

got in a couple walks...

played on DH's laptop...

set up my own account on there, I did...

hee hee...

caught some rays in the sun...

couldn't stay out there too long, was just itching to do something out there...

being without water is a royal pain...

but I can live without water a lot better than I can live without the internet...

this I know...

well, I'll be...

water  just shot through to the ice maker...

a toilet needs flushed...

woke up this morning to a broked one of these...

called city hall to make sure it wasn't MY problem...

nope, water main broke on the highway and they are working on it...

so right now, we don't have this...

couldn't do this...

can't go out and do this...

cause we can't come back in and do this...

can't do this either...

so its this or the corn field...

and the corn isn't high enough to hide Bebe yet...

so...

the corner might start looking pretty good later on...

crossing my legs that they have it fixed soon!

it finally warmed up!

not coat today...

no gloves...

no earmuffs...

capris and t-shirt...

my kind of day...

litter mates and best buddies...

and the blooms are fun...

the wind is too much to paint...

so we are going to dig into another bed...

its not a big bed, but one that needs done...

and we can sit in the sun while we do it...

one more week to go before the big planting around here begins...
