Sunday images...

a quick tour around the yard here before we head out for our drive...

got another rainy day here, but a little warmer...

and no wind...

tolerable...

and not so bad to be out in...

columbine...

this is up by the rail road...

I have seen a couple of bunnies up this way in the last couple weeks...

robin...

and then we headed for Walnut Point State Park...

its 3 miles north of us...

we used to camp here a lot...

and just go out and fish or picnic...

the boys were raised out here...

its very peaceful...

a hawk...

its full of wildlife...

and people who just enjoy the tranquility of the place...

boats the concession used to rent out... 

more canadian geese...

the concession stand is closed this year...

needs a new roof and major repair...

the state is broke and almost closed this place down...

it now has one park ranger working it...

but still no one to come in and operate the concession...

and the dogwood are beginning to bloom...

a sure sign of spring...

;)

got some work done outside this morning...

last night the foot bridge was delivered...

and here is where it will go...

right behind the wheel barrow...

along the bricks that line the end of the flower bed...

so glad we had the drought last year and couldn't put the fence posts in...

because we are going to change a few of those now...

everything is coming up...

and it won't be too much longer before this is all filled in...

a beginning on the veggie area...

the tomatoes are going inside of the racks...

not sure about the ice cream chairs...

but the gears are turning...

going to get this scrubbed up and painted...

maybe pink...

a potted plant in here later...

or it could be used to put the hand tools...

cleaning, moving and raking...

it was only in the 50s and windy, so we didn't work out here all day...

its a little damp still...

but the rains started in around 3 this afternoon...

and its still drizzling...

farmers are running behind and can't get into the fields...

but they will, soon enough...

and we will be praying for rainy days...

but one good thing...

it feels like the spring is dragging along...

taking its time...

and that's a good thing...

a bit of yesterday...

the babies had their first slop on a plate...

and they did well with it...

a little messy, but they are so close to being ready to go...

there are 3 little boys just waiting to love on them...

( they have already been adopted!)

and just some shots around the yard as I went through my day...

still wasn't warm enough to be out for long periods of time...

but the sunshine beats all the rainy days...

and the foot bridge is being delivered tonight...

and where we want to put it is still soggy...

so it will sit in the driveway until things dry out a bit more and we get stuff moved around...

love watching the birds come to the feeders...

got them filled back up again right after this shot...

we are having a hard time keeping up with them...

spent yucca from last year...

knock out rose...

won't be long before its blooming...

and some fun small bursts of color...

I hope you are not having bad days...

but if you are and when you do...

remember its all worth it in the end...

just hang onto His hand and never let go...

He is stronger than anything that can smack you in the face here...

and He will get you through it...

just remember to thank Him when He does...

we are hoping to get something done outside this weekend...

catching up...

a friend of ours bought the house next to them...

and it has to be torn down...

but she called and asked me if I wanted this...

what do you think I said???

we will have to wait until it dries up a bit before we can move it...

yesterday, the seed pods started falling off the tree in the side yard along with the fuzzy pods from the cotton wood/ popular...

have you ever used a shop vac in your flower beds?

well, I think I am going to try...

and we have worked the last couple of weekends around here...

just waiting for warmer, dryer weather to start painting the deck and steps...

look at all the pods!

and we just had this all cleaned up...

everything is just waiting for the time to plant the annuals...

and we are talking about paving this area....

we will get the pavers on sale this fall...

cover this area through the winter to kill the grass...

and then start on it after the spring rains are done next year...

so, what are your plans for the outside this year?

we still have fence posts to put in on the other side and a few more panels to make...

in the meanwhile, we need to figure out a place to put the little foot bridge...

maybe I will google it and see what others have done with theirs...

I am thinking a pear tree would look with it...

the sun has peeked out a few times, but its hiding now...

and its still cold, but should be so much nicer tomorrow and the rest of the week...

and someone jumped on it...

wanted to see them today...

so he came by...

and he is taking all 3 of them!

they have 3 kids...

so its going to work out just fine...

and its going to be a surprise for the kids...

they won't know until their dad picks them up...

;)

and they are going to a very good furever home...

shoot, I wouldn't mind living there...

so good things all the way around today...

and the rain has begun...

so working inside the rest of today...
