its been the most beautiful day here...

sat on the deck until I got woke up...

not one Japanese beetle on these this year!

then I started on the bed next to the shed...

dug this out...

but left a little...

the sky was awesome...

butternut squash blooms...

the rose of sharon opened...

and a hummingbird noticed this afternoon...

picked another mess of green beans...

Bebe got bath...

added the parsley in here, too...

a couple ferns...

2 of the pepper plants...

I do have lavender bunch to go in here, too...

its soaking to get more roots...

and that's what I did today...

of course, DH, did so much more...

running from one thing to another...

but this was my fun part of the day...

got a fabulous day...

great breeze out of the east...

and no rain...

we had to water...

got to do supper now...

the day that got away...

did you ever have one of those days that just got away from you?

well, yesterday was mine...

Thursday evening, we moved one of the knock out roses here...

and we are going to do more work on this area this weekend...

it was a day of summer sunshine...

and piddle fartin'...

a day of baths...

and yes, Mr Wiggles, I am posting your bath time...

seriously...

cutting flowers...

and spending time on the deck...

taking walks and naps...

and somehow or other...

the day just quietly slipped away without a blog post...

and the evening went just as quietly...

our neighbor and another guy from here working on the 1934 fire truck...

our first fire truck...

I took videos for Mike...

and posted them on our local facebook page for him...

I think I will plant more of these next year...

have a place here in town that sells bulk seeds...

and the wild neighbor cat...

this neighbor feeds over 20 wild cats and won't let anyone help with getting them fixed...

then whines when the coyotes come in and eat them...

we have tried for years to get her to have them done...

but she refuses...

so, unfortunately, this will be this year's coyote bait...

and back home...

gotta love 'em...

we only have one more day with the babies...

then they are heading out for their forever home...

nothing but sunshine, cooler weather and an awesome breeze here today...

rolling thunder, trees bending low and rain...

got a few shots before the storms moved in this morning...

it has been about a week since we have had any...

so this is a good rain...

I know many are flooded across the east central area...

but we did need this here...

Myra...

is turning  into a mama's baby after all...

still blooming...

and the clouds start rolling in...

moved up to the deck just in time for the rain to start...

I actually got cold sitting out there...

when we got up, it was 83 and 93% humidity...

now its 73...

and its still raining...

the slow steady kind...

but the storms are not big and this will pass soon...

it will be miserable when the sun comes out again...

Craiger works 4-10 today...

DH and I are doing pizza tonight...

I think...

unless he has a better idea when he gets home...

so off I go...

we just ate the last of the green beans...

yeah, they were good...

should have another mess to cook off by the weekend...

did I ever tell you?
