running a little late on my post today...

but I did two yesterday...

gearing up for the storm here...

they say it will start snowing by 2pm...

and snow for 24 hours...

I am thinking its going to be in the higher part of their prediction...

so looking for 8 inches...

maybe more...

and we will have enough wind for a white out...

Craig said he is heading home as soon as it starts snowing...

Steve will leave when work is done...

he is stubborn that way...

be safe, be warm and just stay in...

there are just some days that it pays to be on the bottom...

got a few shots outside this morning...

it was nice in the sun and no wind...

and we still have some snow left...

and will be adding to it tomorrow afternoon...

you would think that Donna had been by, but I know she is far south in warm weather...

maybe she sprinkled as she went through...

she is such the glitter queen...

and someone is being a bad influence on the youngsters...

MrWiggles is showing Lester how to get off the deck...

which is not a good thing...

and mama is doing so good now...

and the kiddos, too...

and so the name of the post...

its good to be on the bottom of the pile on cold, snowy days...

its warmer down there...

had a decent day...

takes awhile to work things lose so I can move...

took a couple of naps...

Craig worked today, and with the winter storm coming in...

I imagine it was a nuthouse...

he will be so tired when he gets home...

sounds like this storm is going to be a butt kicker...

and I am staying in like they are telling everyone to do...

I hope the guys get to work and back ok...

or I will be snowed in alone...

;)

I am not worried...

I have neighbors who will rescue me if I need it...

well, sounds like my boy is home...

got groceries to put up...

have a good night and a good morning...

oh, the weather man just said some nasty things...

another storm and more snow...

coming in tomorrow and Wednesday...

right now, they have us in the 6-8, maybe more category...

is this ever going to end?

I hope so...

just think, in four weeks, it will be March...

in a couple weeks, Valentine's...

you know that's a holiday just so you have enough chocolate to make it until spring, don't you?

I am going slow this morning...

I hurt pretty bad...

so heading back to bed and hope its better when I wake up again...

a little ice and a little snow...

there will be no naps out here for awhile...

how I miss being out there...

just a mild little storm through the night...

made a beautiful morning...

which will turn into an ice rink later tonight...

but I did go out for a bit...

and took a few photos on the way to the truck...

DH was making a mini store run here in town...

so we cranked up the heat...

I rolled down my window...

and sliding a clicking we went...

he did the sliding...

I did the clicking...

and here I sat while he ran into our little town grocery store for a few things...

and this is what most people see...

a parking lot...

but here is what I see...

take you time...

one of employees on the roof...

they must have a leak...

puddles are a wondrous thing...

reflections on the water are awesome...

the contrast of color...

and there you go...

getting back to the basics of my blog is probably the best thing I have done for me in a long time...

I am sure there are those who miss the decor posts and with dreaming for that ones...

but this is one of the reasons I started to blog...

to show you what I see...

and to grow in my hobby...

to make it a craft and an expression of myself...

so, hang with me...

I will be taking you along for the ride if you care to go...

it was just a good day to...

 stay inside...

just too wet to be out...

DH had to work out in it all day...

he went inside and changed clothes 3 times...

and still came home wet...

it just poured at times...

and the ground is still frozen, so it pooled...

then it froze and the snow started falling late...

and its a blanket of white out there now...

made chili...

didn't get the laundry done...

washed dishes...

took naps...

because it was just a good day to this...

doing good now...

you know the guys are going to be watching football today...

there's left over chili, chips and salsa in there for them...

I am going to hang out and nap in between...

no need to over do it...
