another perfect day...

the birds are enjoying the birdbath more here...

we went out when we got up this morning and started in again...

Charlie helped, but had to take a nap in between...

and he had to get a drink of water...

that is water, not powerade...

and we worked the area around the deck and shed today...

then the guys planted the 3 pear trees that were given to us by a neighbor...

this is how we keep Charlie from running off on this side of the yard...

there is a lead on the other side...

and this is where I worked first...

planted the last of the flowers in here and pulled maple trees...

thinned the radishes...

and this is where the new bunny is going to be for now...

we moved everything out of here and really cleaned it good...

then moved things back, just in slightly different places...

all the blooms we have right now is amazing...

Craig did well planting this...

this was my grandma's washtub...

she has been gone 20 years now...

especially in the wheel chair...

he likes to see where he is going...

I love this little pot that Craig got for me the first of the year...

so happy to get to use it finally!

a bird's nest that I found in the yard earlier this spring after a thunderstorm...

and the last rose bush to bloom did it today...

we got less than a tenth of rain this afternoon...

could sure use more, but we have many chances this week...

I think every day but one has rain in it...

so, might be an inside week, which give me time to catch up in here...

looks like a bomb went off again...

had a wonderful 3 day weekend with Craig...

and he has another one next week, too...

my mind is reeling with all the possible projects we can do...

got a lot done today and a nap after supper...

well, some of us got a lot done today...

Lester and Hermie are brothers...

who might need a set of bunk beds...

DH had to work today so Craig and I worked on the island first thing this morning...

the knock out roses are doing really well this year...

it got up in the 90s here today and no rain...

so it was nice to work in the shade...

and there was a nice breeze...

we started out with this...

and we had been watering...

but it was rock hard and it took awhile longer than I thought it would to work up...

fall clematis...

we moved things out and worked while it was cooler out...

and this is how it progressed...

we even moved the bird bath over here today...

and I got some shots in while I was taking my breaks...

Charlie loves it outside...

and I told Craig not to touch a thing here...

I liked my weeds...

we were about to get done with this area...

so Craig ran the hose out to me so I could water and fill the bird bath...

and before I could turn the hose on...

someone claimed squatters rights...

one squirt changed his mind on that...

then we headed for the south side yard...

and I worked on pots...

and Craig finished the wash tub...

and we talked and worked...

and worked and talked...

and we cleaned up around the tree and pulled weeds...

and picked up those crazy helicopters that are driving me nuts...

and then we watered what we had planted...

 by that time, it was time for lunch...

1:30, so way past for us...

but we did good today...

and we worked inside and made supper...

Craig and I even made a grocery store run to our store here in town...

my new bunny from Walmart...

$13...

and he is cute...

DH came home pupt and I didn't get my nap in at all today...

so after supper...

we all laid down and slept about an hour and a half...

got up, went out and finished the watering and I de- treed the veggie garden and planted flowers where the bird bath had been and then watered that...

went for a walk while Craig finished watering around the deck and shed...

and then we started a fire and sat out there most of the evening...

we roasted marshmallows and hot dogs...

and had a good night...

I made it through the boob surgeon with flying colors!

got some great photos this morning...

really early...

out in my night gown...

just me and my dog...

had my appointment this afternoon...

and we left a little early and he got me right in...

and there was nothing to it at all...

he did great...

he numbed it first and said that would be the worst of it and it didn't hurt at all...

then he stuck a needle in it while he did the sonogram...

so he could see when he hit it...

and just that quick, sucked it all out!

they are sending it off to make sure...

but it was clear and no blood...

so that's a good sign that there is no cancer...

can you believe the green beans????

we will be picking before you know it...

I can taste them already!

maple trees are everywhere here!

the war is about to begin...

and me and my hoe are going to win!

and after giving doc crap about trading his Shelby Cobra for a pick up...

we headed for Walmart...

and then to Burger King to bring supper home...

and my baby was crying when DH got home...

he beat us home by a few minutes...

I shut him in my bedroom/bath instead of putting him a kennel...

and he cried...

I felt really bad, but he was safe there and wouldn't have been in the truck in the parking lot waiting for us to get done...

he will have to get used to me being gone a few hours every now and then...

but it make me feel bad...

he won't leave me now...

so that's how the day went...

my boob is fine...

I am full...

and now I have to go water the plants...

DH is mowing the side yard now, SO I had better go out and help...
