got some fun things to show you...

DH took me for a little drive around town before supper...

and this really great space is going to open up this fall...

they have done wonders on the outside...

but the windows are just too fun...

they just changed them up...

I love it...

this is so wonderful for our little town...

we used to have many businesses up there...

but now, its not that great...

and it was a bit cooler last evening than it has been...

and for the other cute thing...

I caught someone bathing in public...

love this old bird bath...

seems to be a waiting line, too...

I am slowly feeling better...

working on babies here...

and getting ready for the 4 day weekend with DH...

this is what happens when you hand your son the camera and tell him to go get me some shots...

so I ended up doing some myself anyway...

the beans are doing great!

no rain in sight here, so still watering every night...

some thing are holding their own...

there are large cracks in the yard and some brown spots...

some things aren't doing so well...

so this next few weekends, I am pulling and getting ready for fall while I can...

we have a hose biter...

Maggie loves the hose and loves following us around the yard...

she helps with the gardening...

even if we don't need any help...

I have a couple of more days were I am home alone...

DH is taking Thursday and Friday off...

getting a little mini vacation before harvest hits...

I have not had many good days this summer...

so looking forward to him being home and getting some things done around here that I cannot do on my own anymore...

I am sort of looking forward to fall...

looking forward to feeling better and the allergies to go away...

its been a weird summer here...

I am so not ready...

you know its been a bad summer when the weeds have over taken the tiller...

its gotten pretty dern hot here...

but there are cooler days coming soon...

just one more real hot one today...

and hoping that's all we have to do...

good thing I never put all of the winter clothes up...

when you might need a sweater or warm socks...

the days are sailing by so fast...

and the summer is going to be gone in about 3 weeks...

I have caught myself in that mode already...

which is getting pruned and how much?

what's going at the end of the season and what will I keep around?

where is this going to go next year?

I think I need to get more deck time in when it cools off...

looking forward to the 60s nights again and hanging out on that bed out there...

I can get all the cats off of it...

not sure what this week will bring...

what can you find down a simple country road here?

well, there's plenty...

there are the crops...

corn and soy beans mainly around us...

and then there's cows...

big cows and little cows...

mama and baby cows, but dad is close by...

but mainly black angus beef cattle run the fields here...

there's weeds...

plenty of weeds...

and not the kind you roll and smoke, either...

these are legit weeds...

(well, there might be a tad bit of the other around, too, I just haven't seen any)

and trees...

old, twisted by the winds trees...

and groves of them that once surrounded a farm house...

long gone now, but the shade remains...

and we have all kinds of wild life here...

a bright eyed doe was eating supper the other night when we were driving around...

if you whistle, they will look up at you...

the kids are camping in the yard this weekend...

Craig helped a friend move...

DH worked half a day yesterday...

and we went for a drive in the afternoon...

in the heat, without ac and I got sick...

still feeling nasty...

I did finish the meds up yesterday, so that might be part of it...

hoping this goes away soon...

we didn't name them, just call babies and they come running...

got the photo shoot done yesterday and today will be baths and some serious posting on facebook...

this one is already adopted...

thank you, Lord, for giving me the ability to take these babies...

raise them up...

and find them homes...

adopt from a shelter or rescue...

never 'buy' a pet...

spay and neuter!
