here comes the warm up!

took these the other day...

we are the proud foster parents of 8 funky squirrels...

our walnut trees help draw them in....

but its the feeder this one likes...

there is one in every bunch...

the one with the hurt front paw is on the mend...

above freezing today!

looking at 40s and even a 50 coming this weekend...

but the 51 day will be rainy...

but that's ok...

I have been up half the night online with a friend while she was in the ER with her daughter, Lexi...

Lexi had her tonsils out last week, but keeps having problems...

and last night she started spewing blood and spitting up clots...

Lexi is in high school and around 17...

the same thing happened to Craig, but we were at another hospital and they took him into emergency surgery, found the bleeder and got it stopped...

he could have bled out...

and so could she...

begged her to get her to another hospital...

worried sick, because this other hospital sent her home and told them it was normal...

so if you could pray for her...

if I were able bodied, I would hop in my van and take her myself...

but I can't!

aggravating...

this girl was in a wreck, a bad one...

almost 2 years ago now...

she is the only survivor...

she lost her best friend and her boyfriend...

so this family knows loss and how fast it can happen...

and I know this mother well enough that if something happens to her, she will never get over it...

and she has 2 younger children to raise...

so please, pray for them...

both guys are working tomorrow...

I need to take a nap so I can lay around tomorrow, too!!!

this little girl came to sit a spell...

out the kitchen window this morning...

and I kept shooting...

and she kept posing..

spending the days and nights...

coughing and my sides hurt sometimes...

blowing but not a lot comes out...

taking cold meds and pain pills...

and I have 2 sneezing fits per 24 hours...

to the point that I either almost pee my pants, or I do...

:)

its not fun but its not bad...

a common cold is what it is...

a pain in the butt to deal with and manage...

while pretending to lead a normal life...

which probably isn't happening around here anyway...

LOL

so...

its another day of snortin'...

I think the critters find it amusing...

they sit and cock their little heads sideways...

a couple even put their paws on my arm or leg....

trying to calm me down, I think...

sometimes it amusing...

it the cold doesn't get you, that stuff just might...

we only have one more day after today of cold, cold weather...

and then it gets above freezing and all this stuff is going to melt all over the place!

the long term, rest of the month will be above freezing during the day!

could spring come early...

we got another 3 inches of snow this weekend...

and everyone came out to partake of the all you can eat buffet....

and after looking closely at these photos...

I have a mission this week...

besides doing the laundry...

and all the other things I do around here...

I need to keep shooting squirrels...

see the one on the right...

he has a bloody paw...

pretty sure its frost bite...

we cannot do anything for him unless we can catch him...

and as long as he keeps moving around as good as he is...

that ain't happening...

so my plan is to keep shooting squirrels and enlarging the photos...

keeping an eye on his paw...

and since I cannot tell one from another...

from the kitchen window...

I will have to shoot them all and hope I get him...

we had 9 male cardinals yesterday morning...

that's the most we have ever had...

DH went back to work this morning...

Craig is off today...

bottom part of the furnace in coming today...

and I want a nap already...

LOL

still making snot and blowing my nose all the time...

I don't feel real bad or nothing like that...

but cannot bend over without dripping...

so ready for spring, even with the allergies...

that 3 people who graduated from our little town...

just happened to be in Hawaii yesterday morning...

getting ready to go on the tour of the USS Arizona...

the World War II memorial...

when the ballistic missile warning happened? 

2 of them were traveling together...

and the third was with her spouse...

we are a very small town of around 1000...

I am sure they will never forget this trip!

well, it wasn't as bad as it could've been here...

but bad enough...

and the wind just drives the cold right through you...

DH has a bad cold and feeling icky...

I am up with the start of one and a sore throat...

took some cold meds and waiting for them to work so I can go back to bed...

I had a really good day yesterday and got a lot done...

he was moving slow and if he sat long enough...

he was nappin'...

he is off for 3 days this weekend, so hoping to get him on the mend before he heads back to work on Tuesday...

I don't think we will get much done today...

but there isn't much to do...

have good days and stay warm!
