4 days of rain...

and we were lucky with only just above 5"...

others haven't been so lucky...

its going to heat back up by the weekend...

things are growing pretty good around here...

and I really didn't miss watering!

busy weekend and lots of rain...

we are ok, but the areas around us had some nasty weather...

high winds, tornadoes and lots more rain...

flooding going on...

but we are good...

we went from working in the dust on Saturday...

to working in mud on Sunday...

but we are all caught up on the yard work...

yay!

Diddy likes to garden...

this was our Wednesday morning...

he is so tiny yet...

the yucca are blooming...

Craig and I went out around 8 am to start on this area...

totally overgrown with weeds...

and Diddy went with us...

it was a very cool morning and we worked in the sunshine...

and Diddy explored...

and attacked the day lilies...

it was serious business...

it was just an awesome morning...

I love days like that...

and I got to do a little photo shoot when I took my breaks...

and he stayed right with us and didn't run off one time...

he even learned to surf...

surf weeds...

he's pretty good at it...

and we have other things blooming, too...

knock out rose...

and the lilies in the island are blooming, too...

got both guys for both days this weekend...

depending on the rain, we shall see what we can get done...

big work weekend and catching up on things...

this area in front of the deck has come a long way in a year...

the peonies are still blooming, but some are scorched really bad from the high temps the last couple of weeks...

things are filling in and getting bigger...

the plug of lamb's ear I put in here last summer is doing very well...

asiatic lilies have heads...

the ones in the island are blooming...

got the hats on the scarecrows...

roses are blooming...

hydrangea will be whitening up soon...

and ferns look good...

we worked hard this weekend...

and this is small enough for me to handle...

I can use the tiller...

the green beans shot up fast with the rain we got...

the yuccas are starting to open, too...

when I was a kid, these were in a lot of the cemeteries we visited...

and I was so thrilled to get some starts several years ago...

the brush pile from raking, trimming trees and just cleaning up...

the beans behind us...

finally got her out front...

the corn at the end of the street...

it was 79 yesterday with a stiff breeze...

just the perfect kind of day...

rose garden...

not that we are pretty much caught up on things...

next weekend we will be doing some medium to small projects...
