my aunt Mary crossed over this morning...

she was a wonderful christian and so loving...

remember her children and grandchildren as they move on without her...

found some new things last week...

it wasn't all work and no play...

(and not all toys)

found these things while out and about...

found these fake spikes at the Dollar Tree...

$1 each...

there was only one  with the cotton balls...

but I think I can make some of these with burlap and cotton balls...

found the shiny pumpkin at the Dollar Tree and the white chunky ones are at the Family Dollar...

all $1 each...

and then the pick up with the pumpkins in the back...

Family Dollar for $5...

they have another color...

a dark barn red one...

but I liked the the looks of the white with gray...

so that's $10 of fun right there...

and I can keep them out all fall right up until I start decorating for Christmas...

can you believe September is coming up so fast?

summer is almost done...

its been another fast year...

and they keep getting faster and faster...

I already have a fall looking yard going on here...

the walnuts are turning and leaves are on the ground...

we have been raking already...

just not fun when its in the 90s...

but we are in the cooler part of the week now and if the humidity will just go away, it will be perfect!

we got some really good buys last week at Wally World...

we are in such great shape going into this year...

and we found some of the popular toys out there right now...

and for all ages, too...

her eyes will close as she is telling you she doesn't feel well...

her nose turns red when she sneezes...

and her mouth pouts when she is ill...

this one is going to be so much fun for someone...

and these where just too cute to pass up...

we got a couple of them...

the horse can be combed and its just so cute...

we buy a lot of the Kid Connection brand...

really good quality and a very good price even when not on sale...

they have a wide range of toys for girls and boys...

bang for the buck!

if you need toys for your littles, now is the time to search out the clearance racks!

or grab a couple of things and put them back for your local toy drives...

ok, got a major line of storms heading this way...

hope things aren't as bad as they are saying...

but then the weather after this front is through will be awesome!

did you miss me?

well, its been a long, long week...

but here is one of the projects we knocked out while DH has been on vacation...

the potting area...

after a very hot and muggy summer...

this was really neglected...

and it began falling apart...

the cats liked to sleep on it...

but started falling through...

but to clean that mess up, some things had to be sacrificed...

like the blooming morning glories... 

and some things are gone now...

we got it all pulled out and cleaned out underneath...

thought I would lose the fence behind, too...

and part of it did fall off, but we were able to keep the most part...

for another year or two, anyway...

and in place of the old, the "new" went in...

and it looks really good...

this a Craig find...

a used tool box for a pick up bed...

and it works great...

it's water proof and holds a lot...

the extra pots are inside now...

and its been sitting behind the deck now for a couple of years...

and that cleaned that area up, too...

and here is a little something I picked up at Dollar Tree while we were in Paris on Tuesday...

a paper towel holder for $1...

and I got 3 of them...

for tape and string and such for the play room...

got another post on what I found there...

and then we have have 3 mega shopping days for the toy drive and did we find some great things at  75% off or more...

that will be another post...

I also had another birthday and forgot it was my birthday...

telling ya, getting old here...

my aunt's birthday is today, the 18th...

and they have called hospice in today...

on oxygen and they cannot take her off at all now...

she doesn't want to eat and is fighting the mask...

so please pray for her and her kids and grand kids...

DH goes back to work tomorrow and Craig is home...

2 more loads of toys need to go to the storage room uptown...

had my blood work done this week, too...

that came back very good...

but putting me back on the vitamin D prescription strength...

lactose intolerant and it was slipping a bit low again...

I had a bout of IBS for about 3 days this week, too...

but that seems to be over now...

so...

I will be back in here soon and update you on the progress of the yard...

the fun things I found and all that...

garden time...

went out first thing yesterday morning to pick green beans...

still waiting on the majority of the larger tomatoes to turn...

got a squash...

green tomatoes everywhere...

the cherry tomatoes are producing a few every day now...

my bag...

Craig's bag...

we came in and changed the menu for the rest of the week...

we had the large roaster full and gave some away, too...

we still have enough for another meal or two...

we missed the rain yesterday, so had to water last night after supper...

I have been doing a lot lately, so taking a putter day...

well,

a putter/ nap day...

so...

have good days out there!
