Home is a shelter from storms - all sorts of storms.
 ~William J. Bennett

here are some brighter photos of the shelf...

it is so dark and dreary here now...
I love color...all colors...
I just like certain shades...
I love looking at all the blogs where all they do is white...
I love the look...the feel...
I just can't do it...
sometimes I wish I could...
it looks great...
I'm not very disciplined to do it and stick with it...

storm clouds this afternoon...

this was the first one...
and here is the second one...
we were watching a place straight ahead here that had rotation...
the weather radio kept going off...
but nothing happened here...
no flying trees, buildings or cows today...
which is a very good thing...

after...

I love crosses...and I have many of  them...
old name postcard for my baby, Georgie the cat...
the end result...
and yeah...those are my baby pics...
soooo long ago...

sunny...thunder...sunny...thunder...heat indexes soaring...

just a very sticky day...no wind...
the rain laid down the hydrangea...
earlier today the sun was out...
heat indexes are from 99-106...
this flower bed needs redone...
but not today...
storms are beginning to pop up all over...
I love my ac...I love my ac...

the shelf above the desk...

I think I want something different..
it just needs shaken up a bit...
I need to go shopping...
I'm going to grab a basket...
and walk through my house...
Lord knows there's plenty of stuff right here...
check back in later to see what happens...
Home is the one place in all this world where hearts are sure of each other. It is the place of confidence. It is the place where we tear off that mask of guarded and suspicious coldness which the world forces us to wear in self-defense, and where we pour out the unreserved communications of full and confiding hearts. It is the spot where expressions of tenderness gush out without any sensation of awkwardness and without any dread of ridicule.
~Frederick W. Robertson
