Have you ever seen an angel?

...everyone has plans, dreams and wish lists...
...this has been one of mine...for a long time...
...vintage white picket fencing to line the back of my flower beds...
...most people wouldn't see much looking at this pile...and for me, I thought it would be an unreachable goal...at least now the way things are going for us...and I am used to making do with whatever I am given or find...and being happy with what I have...and of course, you know how I like to play in the dirt...but this year has been really hard...and we couldn't put the money into the yard or plants...but it still looks wonderful...and it came to be anyway...and I haven't been able to pick up anything new at the stores or even go through the garden sections...but look at all the 'new to us' stuff that we have gotten to add this year...the fence sections came from another neighbor...free...didn't have time to deal with it and was going to have to burn them...God used these people this weekend to lift up our spirits and to keep us moving forward...there is no way I could have went out and bought all this even if money wasn't a concern...all in one weekend...it's like a year of looking to find just what would look good here and there...it's amazing to me how He knows just what I want even when I don't...and I didn't even have to ask for it...all I want is to buy groceries, pay the bills and my family safe...and even though I didn't see this angel this weekend...I know one was here...the breeze we had here last night must have been the beating of his wings...
...it's just like when I was a kid...and dad would ask me if I wanted ice cream...and he didn't have to do it...I hadn't asked for it...he had given me everything I needed already and I was content...but it's that one little thing that makes you feel extra special in that moment...
Hope you have a moment, too...

No matter what you do...there is always a critic...

Daphne trying to put in her 2 cents...they broke out the screen this week...bad kitties...
while Craig and I blinged the deck... I found this old piece of fabric...dated 1994...that I had been holding onto for whatever reason...it will, hopefully, shade us from the evening sun...
if we need to...we can hang it higher...
it looks ok from here...
then I wanted bling...
you wrap the wire like this on a paint brush...
and instant bling...
the final product...ta-da...blinged out...and it didn't cost a thing...just more junque hanging around the house...it took 10 minutes...and if it blows away...I can handle it...
Steve took 8 cats to the animal shelter...we are just waiting on him to get back...6 kittens and 2 adults...still leaves 5 here...and Spaz outside...

Cool wave- 67 this morning:

We worked just a little bit...
one of the new totems and the chair go out here...
we trimmed some low limbs so the mower man doesn't get knocked off...
while behind us the Bebe and Potsie chase bugs in the grass...
today we are hoping to get the kittens to the animal shelter and we are also taking Pickles...

A beautiful thing is never perfect.

Just picked these new totems up last night from Terri:

I really like the way they came out!
