my afternoon projects...

well, I started with these and the glue gun...
I love the pink...
my big one came out great...
then when that was done...
I looked through my Holmes magazine...
and I found an article on fixing an old queen ann home...
pictures of it still in progress...
a labor of love...
I also found new products...
the guts to your toilet...
mine don't look like this...
but I am going to look into this...
our water bills average $70 a month...
and then this is on the back cover...
I would love the water to still come from the top when I use the hand held...
of course I would love a shower that sprayed your from every which way...
but that ain't happenin' here...
then I got some postcards ready to take into my cabinet...
and then...
something I have been putting off...
because there's always time to do it later...
right?
I collected my losers...
and put them in my little photo album...
I collect them for the graphics...
for my grandchildren and great grandchildren...
because at the rate my boys are going...
I will never meet them in person!
big hint here, guys...
I do not gamble...
I buy graphics...
and I am really said if it's a really cool one and it wins...
except the time I won $250...
Yeah, I went shopping...
it was right before Christmas and I had the shopping done...
so I grabbed DH and we went shopping for everyone again!
we actually got cooler stuff a week before Christmas...
and more of it....
cause they marked it all down...
but 99.9% of the time they are losers as far as money goes...
those are my true winners...
and maybe, just maybe...
they may be worth something to someone some day...

thunderstorms coming in...
I can hear it rumbling in the distance...
a sure sign of spring...
and maybe snow tomorrow...
but in the 40s, so it won't hang around long...
I think my nephew's birthday is tomorrow...
he was born on the 29th...
so when that doesn't happen...
I guess you get 2 days...
the one before and the one after...

I'm back...

after the draft...
we went out for a few minutes before the rain starts...
the snow is all gone...
again...
I got several things done today...
and I will show you later...
I need to get photos...
all the little buddies were out with us...
a quick romp around the yard and back in...
they say we could get a lot of rain out of this storm that's coming...
and it could mean muddy feet and dirty cars...
but for me...
it means green grass, buds on the trees and flowers popping their little heads up....
it's going to take rain to get this spring party started...
and the gray skies let it happen...
the sun can't do it's thing until everything is watered good...
it's starting to look a little more like spring and a little less like winter...
now we need to see if March comes in like a lion or a lamb...

I will be MIA most of the day...

DH and Craig do fantasy baseball online...

today is the draft...

DH will have MY computer...
it's really ours...
but I use it more...

but for today, I will be benched...
I will be either napping' or makin' more flowers...

so I will catch you later...
pun intended...

UNANSWERED PRAYER...

The preacher's 5 year-old daughter noticed that her father always paused and bowed his head for a moment before starting his sermon. One day, she asked him why.

'Well, Honey,' he began, proud that his daughter was so observant of his messages. 'I'm asking the Lord to help me preach a good sermon.'...

'How come He doesn't answer it?' she asked.

my dad and I had a conversation something like this many, many years ago...
it didn't go over too well...
LOL
when my dad started preaching...
he didn't preach on Sunday morning...
it was either Sunday night, Saturday night or Thursday night...
my mom worked days so sometimes she didn't go through the week...
and my brother just didn't want to go...
so my job every time that dad preached...
was to get me ready early...
then I picked out dad's clothes, socks and shoes for that time...
while he was shaving...
and have them all laid out on the bed with a tie that matched...
then I would put our bibles on the kitchen table...
when dad came out of the bathroom...
I had to hold the bottom part of the hole in the tee shirt...
so it wouldn't mess up his hair...
then I folded down his collar after he tied his tie...
then I got my coat on and waited in the kitchen...
dad would put his foot in the chair so I could tie his shoe...
and then we did the other...
because I tied prettier bows...
and then off we would go...
just dad and me...
and on the way home he would ask me about the sermon...
and I always told him straight up...
he always told people that his job was to preach...
but mine was to get the preacher to the church on time...
and I did...
every time...
my mom and dad used to sing this song on the way to church...
it was their favorite to harmonize on...
