introducing...

my magnolia lace flower...
I love it...
it's around 7 inches across...
will get exact measurements later...
I'm going to have to use gallon zip locks to bag these...
the others are bagged in 5x7 bags...
the paper towel holder is working out great to keep my twine on!
I am doing so much better now...
7up and chicken noodles works wonders...
and Craig picked me up a low temp glue gun last night at Walmart...
so I am not burning my fingers anymore...
yippee...
I got all my flower parts glued together tonight...
still waiting on my order of pink lace to see how that works up...
I just know it's going to be awesome...
it was spitting snow a little bit ago...
but the bulk so far has been rain...
no ice!
after tomorrow our average temp range will be in the mid 40s for the  next 10 days...
I can do that...
does anyone know where this week went?
it was just Monday...
got my new cake pan with cover from Kmart today...
got the lights and cutting boards on Tuesday...
so that's it from there...
Rebecca says there is just nothing in the thrift shops right now...
but it won't be long until rummage sales start popping up all over...
just like dandelions...
it's coming, girls, it's coming...
just hang on...

not a lot got done today...

knocked out on the bedspread...
zonked on the sofa...
dreaming in my kitchen chair...
so went to finish the laundry and found this...

Craig and I gave up on our chores today...
the internet went out just before 7:30 am...
called it in and went back to bed...
thought it was an omen...
got up, still not back on...
made another call...
had the modem reset...
and back in business...
then took a long hot shower after lunch because I couldn't get warm...
then with a clean night gown and a pair of socks...
I crawled back into bed...
napped until 4:30pm!
got up with a fever, chills, achy and tummy flipping around...
did potato soup and am drinking 7-up...
so far so good...
may be a bumpy night...
they have changed the forecast to 2-4 inches of snow but not until early in the morning...
the nasty stuff is going north...
but looks like a strong, narrow front line of thunderstorms going through for a lot of us...
north and south...
hope it's not an Auntie Em moment...
but if it is, be nice to the flying monkeys...
they are my favorite...

funny story...

one particular evening...
(last night)
one particular brave knight...
(DH)
decided it was a good time to do his knightly duty...
(take out the trash)
when the Heavens opened and threw down a lightning bolt...
(not a simple little one with a small flash)
it was the mother of all lightning bolts...
(it lit up the inside of the house as well as all of God's creation outside)
and the thunder sounded immediately afterward...
(like within a couple seconds)
caught in mid flight of drawing his sword...
(just as he was lifting the lid of the garbage can)
which made the knight scream in terror...
(like a little girl)
dump his cargo...
(the bag of trash)
while his humble court...
(Craig and I)
rushed to his aid...
(laughed until we were holding our sides)
grateful that he was not wearing his armor...
(lightning rod)
and we lived happily ever after...
(rolling in the floor)
