thrift store white wednesday...

this is the bottom to a really cool star...
I love it...
$1...
I have this thing for stars...
and this little candle holder...
$.75...
love the metal holly and snowflakes...
my bf, Rebecca, was shopping and found these for me...

it came, it came!

this is what I bought off of Cheryl at Zanymayd last week!...
a wonderful bird cage and this beautiful urn!...
I am in 7th Heaven!...
she sent along this card...
with the sweetest note inside...
and a little something extra...
such a nice surprise!...
thank you so much, girlfriend!...
I love it all!...

another fall day...

just hanging out today...
we did get some rain last night...
but not enough to keep the farmer from tilling the field behind  us this morning...
my oldest son is supposed to be here today...
so waiting on him to show up...
the sun is shining and it is a little cooler...
but it is still warm for us for this time of the year...
DH said last night he could handle this weather all winter if it wants to stay around...
I'm not sure about Christmas without snow...
I would have to put the shredder to use and make my own...
then he would complain about vacuuming the yard...
men...
the photo above is the top of the entertainment center in the living room...
Craig keeps adding stuff to it...
I really don't think it could hold anymore...
Cheryl at Zanymayd listed some more stuff on her etsy page...
you really need to check her out!...
her blog is on my sidebar and you can go in there to get to her etsy stuff...
check out Rebecca's blog, too!...
she posted the halloween costumes that I got for her...
she's in the sidebar, too...
Ella Mae's Barn Gathering...
she displayed them really well...
well, my spunk meter is low...
so I'm going to nap until someone shows up here...

WE HAVE BEGUN THE CAMPAIGN

for those of you who are from the area...
it's that time again...
any child from the Oakland school distirct is eligible to receive toys...
our goal is that no child wakes to nothing under the tree Christmas morning...
we have helped Santa place toys under the tree for over 100 children each year...
you can become an honorary elf by donating a new toy or something for an older child...
we serve all children- from birth to seniors in high school...
we also take cash donations- there are shopping elves ready to shop for you...
all we ask is that all toys be new and not battery operated...
it's no fun getting a toy and not be able to buy batteries for it later...
by faith we started Christmas Is A Child...
we will have exactly what we need, when we need it...
100% of the donations are distributed...
there are no operating expenses...
you may also donate your
time...
we always need:
shopper elves
wrapper elves
distribution elves
