beautiful day...

missie was waiting for me when I went out today...
did you know they kill humming birds?...
yep they do...
I still have some bloomers...
but we have a couple of 39 degree nights coming...
and soon this will be transformed for the winter months...
just waiting for the cushions to dry so we can store them away...
Doofus was watching me take pictures...
he also helps me blog...
a couple of the trees are full of seed pods...
ash trees are a hard, slow growing tree and so worth the time...
my uncles tumors are cancer...
it started in the lung...
so its had time to move...
and that's not good...
the doctors will know more on Monday...
he is in ICU tonight...
they will move him to a regular room tomorrow...
and hopefully by afternoon, he will get to go home...
thank you for all your prayers...
"For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
Jeremiah 29:11

A friend posted this on FB today, and I so needed to hear this again.
No word on my uncle yet...
but God is watching over him...
and I trust him to keep him in His care...
now and always...
hope...
a powerful word...

another goodbye...

who could ever forget Tony Curtis?...
he was my first major crush...
I think I was 4...
I so enjoyed his comedies...
he passed away last night...
at 85...
at home surrounded by his loved ones...
without ever winning an oscar...

"I AM Too blessed to be stressed!"
The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything. Love and peace be with you forever, Amen.

fall is creeping in...

moving things around and this weekend will be putting things up...
and packing things away...
dumping pots...
pulling plants...
before the leaves really start coming down...

almost ready...

kind of under the weather today...
the manwiches are fighting back...
so I worked on these again last night...
got the borders on and signed...
we will spray them and drill holes and put the wires in and it will be finished...
these apples came out fun...
will post again when they are completely done...
something creepy this way comes...
so keep checking back!...

White Wednesday...

my happy bowls...
I use these all of the time...
because they make me smile...
but if I am not feeling well...
they help make it better...
and during flu season...
they will be filled with chicken noodle soup...
and apple sauce...
but they are their prettiest with ice cream...
and hot fudge topping...
Happy WW!
start hopping...

It's coming...

it's almost time...
something has already landed...
you have to look close...
see him?...
there he is!...
he is saying, "FALL, FALL!!!"...
now that he is here...
the fall decorations are wanting to come out and play...
I don't know how much longer I can sit on this lid...
just wait until the guys find out what me and Mr Nevermore have planned for this weekend...
Hahahaha with a smirk and a grin....

ok, blogging buddies, I really need your help...

this is my uncle and aunt many years ago when their life together was just beginning...
it the last couple of days...
their world has been turned upside down...
she just got out of the hospital...
COPD and congestive heart failure...
on oxygen...
then he kept falling...
and tests show 4 tumors...
1 in the lung and 3 in his brain...
tomorrow is a busy day of running to drs...
Wednesday is the biopsy of one of the brain tumors...
they are in their 70s...
he is a preacher...
but he is still scared...
unsure of what he will have to go through or how she will be...
who will take care of her if he is gone....
and I am sure many more concerns...
I need your prayers for them for this week...
the stress is going to be high...
they are weak physically from everything last week...
2 weeks ago she buried her brother...
please remember them...

One of the boxes came!

it came!...
my costumes!...
and they were on sale!...
we don't have a Kmart anymore...
they closed all of them down around here..
and I know he's not Johnny...
but it's a pirate...
I got the xl in kids sizes...
they will fit my scare crows!...
I had to get a costume with the big masks to hide the scarecrow heads...
they are going on next week....
and my night gowns!...
stocking up at $4.99...
yippee!...
I love boxes in the mail!...
Doug and Keith came today and scrubbed the green off of the house!
Doug also shampooed the living room rug...
Bebe seemed to forget to go outside...
bad dog...
and I fed them lunch...
then Keith and I talked while Doug napped on the sofa...
Craig came home and ran to the store to get supplies...
sent some home with Doug...
I have 3 hours probably before DH gets home...
I think I need a nap and a shower...
just not sure which order they will happen...
went out in the yard with the guys...
but I didn't take a my camera...
bad me...
so maybe something later...
have a great evening...

I live in a small town...

grain elevator...
busy on a late Sunday afternoon taking in beans...
our grade school...
it also has the junior high classes in it...
the lunch room for all grades...
ag classes in the back...
maple turning on the square...
leaves on the edge of the brick street...
White House cafe with pink roses in front...
they are closed on Sundays...
old tractor on the edge of town...
the rest are field and sky shots as we drove a country block...
the clouds were ever changing as the skies were trying to clear after a very cloudy day...
there are a few beans left here and there...
these clouds were the best ones...
big heavy ones on the bottom...
light fluffy ones above...
it's after 8 am this morning and it's 42 out...
yep, it's fall...
we still haven't had our first frost yet...
but it's surely coming...
we had a really good weekend...
it seemed really short with my DH only off one day...
but that will soon come to pass also...
and another harvest under our belts...
and here we are...
another Monday morning...
and everyone is gone and the quietness is so welcome this morning...
after a weekend of football and cheering from the peanut gallery...
I love my guys...
but one of these days they are going to melt down the TV...
so here I sit...
and the TV...
in a well deserved rest from the chaos of Sunday afternoon football...
I hope you are having a peaceful morning...
