Yesterday afternoon...

the breeze was blowing...
so many leaves have fallen in the last week...
and they are everywhere...
and it was still raining...
a spot of color over the fence...
lily of the valley...
naked tree...
just when you think you have seen all the colors of a plant...more happen...

Its raining again...

and the view out of the windows is certainly fallish today...
the leaves are plastered on everything and still falling...
its been a slow, sleepy kind of rain...
and the colors are always sharper in the rain...
the last reminders of a summer now gone...
because before too long, all this color will turn to gray...

different shades of gray, but still gray...
broke the belt on the vacuum yesterday...and no spare...and they don't carry one in town...not good timing for that...
Terri came home today and Andy emailed me about finding her a little bedside potty...our VFW was glad to help out on that...
I haven't talked to her yet and Diva is still waiting for her dad to pick her up...so in all this sleepy rain...no nap...just in case he does show up soon...in the meanwhile, I have been painting...its all for the Christmas bazaar...which is just around the corner...
I only have four episodes of the Magnificent Seven series I borrowed from Rebecca and then her and I are both going to cry...it was a great show!
Remember Terri in your prayers in the weeks to come and all that she has to go through and also...there is a small girl here who was hit in the eye with a bb last week and has had surgery in Chicago and more to go. I think she is only 5 yrs old...she would like a speedy and complete recovery...and her little brother who shot the limb that the bb ricocheted off of...he is about 7...

"Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation."
[D. ELTON TRUEBLOOD]
I have one life and one chance to make it count for something . . . I'm free to choose what that something is, and the something I've chosen is my faith. Now, my faith goes beyond theology and religion and requires considerable work and effort. My faith demands -- this is not optional -- my faith demands that I do whatever I can, wherever I am, whenever I can, for as long as I can with whatever I have to try to make a difference.
