we got some rain last night...

but I just wanted to get these posted from yesterday...

clematis is doing well, but it did not bloom...

and it's run out of trellis...

hopefully no one will think this is a weed now and pull it again...

Craig and I cut the tops out of the dianthus so they can do it again...

I am not happy with my bright pinkie here...

she is turning red on me...

oh well...

tomatoes are shooting up in all the heat...

once this gets up we won't have the breezes we have now...

would have been the perfect area to put the fire pit...

but the farthest from the doors...

couldn't get out here on bad days...

when we moved in we had one tree and I was taller than it was...

everything here we, the squirrels or God has planted...

some things have been here awhile...

and I am so liking this area again...

I can't wait to get up in the morning and sit here...

I do this even before getting on the puter...

well, as soon as DH gets back from Newman...

visitation this morning for a guy's mother that he used to work with...

we are heading out for town...

the restock my booth and do the shopping thing for weekly supplies...

we have been talking Taco Bell this morning...

and of course...

the ice cream cones on the way home...

it's 70 here right now!

the cold front has come...

It's Pink Saturday time...

I hope you all have had a pinkie week!

the pink lilies are finally blooming!

been a busy and short week here...

but we are getting the rain we need for the yard and gardens...

and some much needed down time for us...

the cold front is moving through tonight and I am so ready for the cooler temps...

it's been near 100 here the last couple of weeks...

so, hope your weekend is everything you hoped for!

I made it!

this evening after DH got home for work...

we headed out for the company cookout...

the lake at Walnut Point State Park...

this is where we spent hours when the kids were growing up...

it's only 3 miles north of  town...

Craig out on one of the smaller docks...

I am fascinated with dead trees...

I have no idea why...

and sorry about this photo...

but I only got one of the picnic area we used...

it is handicapped accessable...

there are nice wide concrete paths for my chair...

DH's boss, Danny, went out early and cooked the pork loin and pulled pork...

I did not eat anything except a sugar cookie right before we left...

DH said it was really good and it smelled wonderful...

then Craig and I walked down to the boat ramp...

it had a ramp, too...

and the one side was open so I could see the water...

and the little blue gill swimming...

it's already starting to scum over...

and this is where they dump all the old Christmas trees to make breeding areas for the fish...

and the storms stayed away...

it was hot, but it was at least 10 degrees cooler back in the woods...

many of them fished while we were there...

most of the time the dock was full of people...

only caught little blue gill...

what us real fishermen call bait...

LOL

I had a great time but spent the whole time in the chair and my legs were sore from dangling the whole time...

didn't have my foot things on it...

and my feet won't touch the ground...

next time I won't sit in it so long...

I would have done better if I would have sat at the picnic table some...

DH was happy that I went...

he has had to do so much alone without me...

he misses me going with him...

so that's it for now...

it's almost time for bed...

WE DIDN'T GET ANY RAIN...

SHE LAUGHED BECAUSE I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PRICING THINGS...

BUT I HAVE A RULE...

IF I WANT SOMETHING FROM SOMEONE I AM HELPING, I WON'T PRICE IT...

A BASKET OF SEWING PROJECTS WHEN I FIND TIME TO DO THEM...

I WOKE UP WITH A SINUS HEADACHE THIS MORNING RIGHT BEFORE DH LEFT FOR WORK...

BUT AFTER BLOWING MY NOSE A FEW TIMES, IT WENT AWAY...

DH'S WORK IS HAVING A COOK OUT THIS AFTERNOON AT WALNUT POINT STATE PARK- 3 MILES NORTH OF HERE...

I REALLY WANT TO GO BUT NOT SURE IF I CAN DO IT IF IT GETS SO STINKING HOT OUT LIKE YESTERDAY...

THEY ARE CALLING FOR THUNDERSTORMS TO START AT 3...

DH IS GETTING OFF AT 3, COMING HOME AND CLEANING UP AND GOING BACK UP THERE...

HE HAS WORKED THERE FOR 9 YEARS NOW AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO ATTEND ANY OF THEIR GET TOGETHERS...

IT'S SUPPOSED TO START AT 4- THE HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY...

THAT'S WHEN I AM INSIDE!

IT'S NOT AS BAD IF THERE'S A BREEZE...

SO I NEED YOUR HELP...

PRAY FOR ME TO HAVE A GOOD AFTERNOON, THE HEAT NOT SO BAD AND A GOOD BREEZE...

RAIN IS OK AS LONG AS IT'S NOT A LIGHTENING STORM!
