a nice slow, steady rain...

just what we need...

have good days...

its nasty hot out there...

but we did get a little bit done in the early mornings and late evenings...

this is the new garden area that we put in last summer in front of the deck...

its getting there...

we put this together for the birdies since its so hot and dry here...

and I put Alice with her teacup...

you can see the haze just hanging...

hoping we get some rain this afternoon and tonight...

we are in the 2 inch area!

we could use it

and guess what I found up this morning!

green beaners!

getting the pot ready now...

short night, long day...

makes an old lady tired...

but a good day...

we worked outside until the Indy 500 started...

the guys flat out quit on me while it was on...

and it was getting pretty nasty out...

heat index was 98...

and then I heard thunder...

the little bit of a shower we got the night before helped things grow...

but we got nothing out of all the pop ups...

but...

it did cool things off a bit and brought a small breeze with it...

and the kids showed up and stayed until after supper...

it was a good day...

its after midnight...

and I really need to head to bed...

maybe we can head out again early and do some more damage before the heat gets so bad...

its so hot here for this early in the summer...

and I know its not officially summer yet...

but that's not how it feels...

90s here...

better than snow....

living in the central air...

at least what we have to work on now is in the shade much of the time...

got 2 rows of green beans in there...

with room to till...

watching for something to pop up!
