I am having a very good day for me...
very little pain and a smidgen of stiffness...
this is our last cloudy day!
the sun will be out tomorrow!
it feels like forever since we had a sunny day...
the sun will come out just in time for Groundhog Day...
LOL
so, we will be at the 6 more weeks part...

grandma's sister made them for her, too...
my great grandma made a postage stamp quilt out of the leftovers...
I do not have any of the cute little dresses my mama wore...
but I did get the quilt top great grandma hand sewed together...
and I had that hand quilted by a friend of mine...
she even let me help on some of it...
the wisdom those old women had was passed down to us...
but this new generation didn't have those old ladies who could make something out of nothing...
they are sure missing out on so much...
blessed to be a kid back then...

it's cow day again here in my world...
the weather forecast says there might be sunshine tomorrow...
I can't remember the last time we had sunshine...
it's been a hot minute for sure...
I am super excited!
been cleaning here and there this weekend...
did the doggie spa day and Chumley got whacked...
so he is all pretty again...
been bird and squirrel watching out the kitchen window...
going to make a pot of vegetable soup tonight for supper...
it's a bit more difficult now to do meal planning with DH being on a low sodium diet...
totally more limited to what he can do now...
but we are doing it...
in the meanwhile...
I have been praying for a lot things and people...
but Texas right now is in need of prayers so much...
so sending a bunch their way...

so let's do this thing called happy...
we have so many reasons to be happy this day...
getting my insurance straightened out was a big thing...
there is no way we can afford the insulin out of pocket...
I turned it over to God and it is working out...
then Wednesday, this thing happened to my son...
he bought a lottery ticket on his first break...
grabbed a snack and went to his car...
scratched off the ticket and won...
he won big...
not the big, big prize, it was a $250,000 potential winner...
but big enough he couldn't just cash it in anywhere...
the first thing he did was thank God...
he's been praying for an answer to paying off his student loan...
this will help greatly...
they took 1/4 of it for taxes...
that part is amazing to me...
so many blessings here lately for us as a family...
I know God did that...
DH took him 2 hours away to cash it in...
that's where they are now...
his boss told him to just go home that morning...
don't take the chance of leaving it in his car or walking around with it in his pocket...
go home and put it somewhere safe and find out what you need to do...
he texted us from work that he was on his way home...
he wasn't sick, just won the lottery...
we were like yeah, right...
well, he did...
so they are on their way back with a check from the state lottery...
and will be stopping at the bank on their way home...
God works from so many different angles...
you just never know how or when he is going to intercede on your behalf...
but He does, in His time, in His way...
just trust Him in all things...
He makes a way and clears the path...
just keep praying and just trust Him...
Praising God this week in all that He has and will do for us...
He is an awesome God!
