sorry I have been gone...

 

there were 5 deaths in our community...

5 souls we knew...

all died within a week of each other...

we are also working on the toy drive...

and there are several with medical problems we have been talking to and checking in on, praying them through so difficult days...

my cousin's granddaughter was involved in a horrible wreck on Aug 1st...

she was thrown from the vehicle, through the sunroof...

she was air flighted to a bigger hospital...

skull fracture...

eye orbit fracture...

collar bone fracture...

multiple ribs fractured...

but the worst is the liver...

it is lacerated...

and the three tendons that hold it in place were torn...

they may have to do surgery to patch it up and tack it in place...

so it can heal...

she is in a surgical ICU unit...

her name is Riley...

all the prayers you can raise up to Heaven in her name and for her family are greatly appreciated...

we have heat warnings until the end of the week...

one good thing about being older...

time flies by so fast!

the next 2 months will zip past...

I was out as much as I could be while I still could...

the storms around us have been pretty bad...

but we faired very well through all them so far...

the worst of everything missed us...

grateful for that...

now the heat and humidity will keep me inside until we get some cooler days...

just not sure when that will be...

the massive tornado that went through here a few days ago hit 8 miles south of us...

our son is ok, but it was 5am the next morning until we found out...

2 towns were declared disaster areas...

so no unnecessary travel there...

a lot of damage...

but no lives lost...

God is good...

this is really something to think about...

change your prospective...

and look at it from another angle...

we spend so much time looking back...

planning what's coming...

just be in this moment...

right here, right now...
