the drought of 2012 for us...
finally, a day with big, white, fluffy clouds...
roses are dry before they even begin to open up sometimes...
mums are turning brown before they open all the way...
half of the tomatoes have bottom rot...
but here is some green starting to happen...
persimmon tree has no fruit...
picking produce...
3 weeks worth of weeds...
the fine grass is seeding...
we can see the elevator from our backyard...
weeds that should be over our heads by now...
tons of spider webs on the ground all over town...
heat advisory for tomorrow afternoon and early evening...
then we should have more rain...
praying for it to fall...
south had over an inch last night...
only 8 miles south of here...
well, off to get the kitchen cleaned up...
supper is done...
and see if I need to start laundry tonight or wait til morning...
have a great weekend!

Dear Tete, I pray for rain in your area, which is such a blessing as it lands and nourishes parched earth.
Praying for rain for you, too.
We managed to get a little over an inch in the past 2 days, the ground soaked every drop, no mud puddles at all. Hoping for more soon.
We've had rain here and there, but the rivers are low for sure. I've been managing to keep my container gardens watered by having an open 50 gallon garbage where I can take water from. I love your tomatoes growing out of the chairs. Garden Art and produce together is great! Blossom End Rot on your tomatoes, isn't always from the lack of water though, most times it's because there isn't enough calcium in the soil. Mine had it at first as well, but then I added Plant tone which had the highest amount of magnesium and essential nutrients to combat it and they have done much much better. Nice pictures! Have a great day! - Leslie
