Annie had her babies last night...
3 before midnight and dad's birthday...
and the other 2 after midnight...
she had the most easy delivery...
and she did very well...
ate all of the after birth like she is supposed to...
cleaned them all up...
I only had to help a little bit...
and she is doing so well taking care of them and letting them nurse all they want to...
got her into another kennel with room for her feed and water and a potty box...
the babies are warm, clean and full...
now, this pregnancy is our fault...
I have been so worried about her...
she is the one who crashed on my many times last year and I had to pull her off of the adoption list...
she is my baby now and will be forever...
just in case she has problems in the future, but I am hoping she has outgrown all of that...
I was waiting a bit longer to have her fixed to make sure she was strong enough to make it through surgery...
I never knew she went into heat, and when I went to call the vet to schedule her...
she was already pregnant...
we have 2 outside toms who come into eat...
they will be getting fixed this spring late...
they are out there to keep the other stray toms away...
and it worked...
we got rid of the ones who were fighting with our fixed animals and tearing up the deck...
she will be fixed as soon as the babies are weaned...
and the boys within the next few weeks...
Missy is heading out for her forever home this week...
and we have another down and kenneled...
Buttercup tried to jump up on the stereo cabinet, grabbed the doily and pulled everything off on top of her today...
DH bought me this wonderful lead crystal vase for Christmas several years ago...
and it landed on her right leg...
it feels broken to me...
so she will be kenneled for 2 weeks...
it will heal on its own...
and it will heal fast at her age...
its not in the joint, so that's a good thing...
the vet will just tell you to kennel them and keep them quiet and don't let them jump...
so that's what we are doing...
the bone is straight and will keep an eye on it...
if complications happen, she will be vetted...
she is sleeping and comfortable...
eating is fine...
so, its been a long day...
2 kennels are up in the living room...
laundry still going...
supper done, but the kids want pizza, too...
so might grab a piece when that comes in...
I lost 12 pounds in the last month...
and need to do so much more...
so- if you don't hear from me from time to time...
I am gardening and taking care of babies...
and doing laundry, cleaning house, taking the dog out to potty...
and sleeping when I can!

Sorry about her broken foot, but gladit will heal without a cast. Babies are cute and cuddly at that age, aren't they?
They are so adorable, Tete! She looks like such a good mama. Wish I could adopt one of the gray ones:) congrats on your weight loss, that is awesome! That is alot for one month! Keep up the good work!
So happy that they all, will be neutered.
And meantime, you will take wonderful care of all.

Hi Tete,
Congrats on the new fur babies. They are so sweet and adorable. So glad all is going well. Sounds like you will be very busy for awhile. Congrats too on the incredible one month weight loss. That is a lot and what an accomplishment.
Sending hugs your way.

Awww, so sweet! I hope the broken foot heels quickly!
That is too bad about the broken foot, Tete. Those babies are so so so beautiful. Glad Mama made a full recovery and is doing well. She looks like a good mom. xo Diana
Tete, Bless people like you..I could never help those cats or dogs...I do not want to see any birthings. I am too easily grossed out. Good for the weight loss...but you were so sick, I can see how that would happen. Take care of yourself girl. Blessings, xoxo,Susie.
