Daphne getting in some sun time...
our oldest baby at 9 years old now...
her joints ache in the cold...

got plenty of shade around us now...
a great place to be when the summer heat comes...
and its coming...
87 next week...

the sky is covered with while, puffy masses...
some pure white and some filling with rain...

and they are calling for rain later today and tonight and then Sunday...
portulaca/ rose moss...

peonies are beautiful this year...

and huge...

helpful (cheap) gardening tip 101...
if you like the looks of sweet potato plants, which used to be relatively cheap until the idea caught on...
find somewhere that sells squash seeds in bulk and grab you some...
then play around with them...
find the shape and color you like best...

cabbage for foliage works, too...
and you can eat it...

Craig planted the wheel barrows, and they are filling in...

now all we need to do is find somewhere to put them...

we moved the scarecrow in here yesterday and this is where she will stay until fall...

got so much going on and so much fading away...

the lilies started opening this morning...
just a couple...

got some rain coming in this weekend...
so not sure what we will be able to get in...
basics, generally...
weeding and thinning out...
the worst is over...
just staying on top of things now...
and if we miss the rain (again)
we will be watering...
have a fun weekend and stay safe and dry...
