at dusk...

love the black backgrounds on these...
hope you are having a good night...
seed pods yet to fall...
Had some visitors today...
Nova brought me a bunch of pretty iris from her yard and some books on crafting, cooking and gardening...
then Terri came with her granddaughter to see the kitties...
Katelyn even made me a beautiful card...
I will post that tomorrow along with photos of the iris...
I also had phone calls from just about everyone...
Nova, Terri, Rebecca, Myrna, Kyle, Jane...
that's about all my girlfriends...
Rebecca called this afternoon...
we are so excited!
she sold a greenhouse out of the booth that her dad had made out of old windows...
things are beginning to really move in our booth...
its exciting when things are selling...

My area in Rebecca's booth:

she did a great job rearranging my cabinet this afternoon at Copper Eagle...
she had a booth in there...
and so we went together and share a space...
my area is just my cabinet here...
and she has the rest of the booth...
I love this space...
stop in and see what else is in the booth...

my new bench...

Rebecca's dad did the overhaul job on this one...
I love it...
its twin bed size...
I love projects where you begin with something that would have ended in the junk pile...
re purposing needs to become a way of life...
its the right thing to do...
it just makes sense...

From southern Illinois...

Paula, my step mom, sent me a photo of her rose bushes blooming...
and my dad...
he is looking so old and tired...
life lately has taken its toll on him...
and it shows in his eyes...
it all starts with the dirt...
and what you have in the dirt...
cow manure will feed the flowers all summer...
then you have to decide what goes where...
leave plenty of room for growth...
don't forget to water when you are finished...
a wheel barrow within one...and I did get both of these from Rebecca...
the child one was several years ago...
and the big one last fall...
movable planters are good in case of drought...
which all the signs are there for one this summer...
they can be moved to shadier locations...
we have rain coming in later today...
we have a chance then all through the week...
it will make the weeds easier to pull this weekend...
and we are dry...
we missed almost all the rains that went through that became flood waters...
