on today's menu...

Craig's lunch...hey, girls, this boy can cook...
grilled cheese, ham and cajun turkey...
he's single, 24, and almost out of college...
and he ate all of this with a bowl of tomato soup...
my lunch...
some days it's just not fun having a girl's metabolism...
I know you know what I mean...

If all else fails...change your perspective...

it looks nice but it's really miserable out there...
so we're taking you on a tour of the yard from the comfort of your PC...
bean greens...and they are not yellow...so many around here are because of all the rain...
this morning, I wimped out and sent Craig out to get photos...he's been doing an ok job of  it...
the first batch was so so...so we did a photo lesson...
each trip out brought in something different...
and we would look at them and I would instruct and explain things and send him out again...
a couple of times he was distracted...
we talked about angle and viewpoint...
you walk by things every day...
but do you really see it?...
try to show people things that they normally wouldn't see...
things they take for granted or just walk on by...
with each trip...he found things maybe he had never seen before...
just look at everything God has made...
if you can't find Him here...you're not really looking...
the perfection in nature is awesome...
with everything man can do...we can't even make a weed...
I prayed when I went back to bed this morning...
God, if you're not going to change the weather, then change my attitude...
we talked about perspective...and this morning it has a double meaning...
it was hard picking which photos to put on here...
there are so many that came out good...
and how can you delete that?...
especially when it makes you smile...
I found my happy place...
it was right here all along...
I hope you find your happy place today...
it's a good place to be...giggle...
I hope you enjoyed your stay...
I'm off to look for more giggles...
Ps- Craig got an A+ in photography this morning...

I waited all winter for this???

I think not...it rained again in the night...
no...no...it stormed...
the cushions were all over the place...
and it would be a nice morning to sit out here...
it's 66...
but I would get my butt wet...
that's rain water in the pot...
there's a really nice breeze going on...
I'm not sure we will ever get these in the ground...
we had 98 here yesterday and the dew points are in the mid 70's...
where  my husband works there is a construction crew working there and they are out of Mississippi...
they said the weather here is worse than it is at home...
usually, the only good thing about Illinois weather is if you don't like it...
just wait a day or two and it will change...
that's 99% of the time...
I don't like being in the 1%...
so there, I've whined and got it out of my system...
or tried to...
so while I'm still cranky and pouting...
I'm going to crawl back in bed and pull the covers of my head...
and wait for the 99%...
and dream of playing outside...
My theory on housework is, if the item doesn't multiply, smell, catch on fire or block the refrigerator door, let it be. No one cares. Why should you?

some kitty humor...

we have fostered kittens like this one...we were so glad when they got their new home...
and some of them are just different...
thought you could use a laugh today...
they made me smile...
