Labor Day weekend...

Doug is moving out...

and we have been hauling, sorting and cleaning...

and we got our living room back...

we are also dog and kitty sitting...

these 2 are only 6 weeks old...

chasing shadows...

they don't have names yet...

this one is very outgoing...

this one is shy...

but they are both cute...

and my Georgie doesn't know what to make of them...

they guys made another run to Doug's with more stuff...

and my DH stopped and grabbed this in town...

it's an early anniversary gift...

can you guess what it is?...

a new swing that was 50% off...

and it has a very high back...

fits my butt to a T...

and after a long, hard day...

with the high at only 72F...

a nice fire felt so good!...

I dug out my big old hoodie fleece jacket...

DH pulled my swing up next to the fire so I could break it in right...

there's more to go through and haul tomorrow...

and another Kroger run...

they are doing the 10 for $10 again...

and you just can't pass that up...

we only buy what is on sale...

you would not believe how much you can save buying for the month...

when things are on sale...

A new blog party...

my best buddy and I have been kickin' around some ideas for a new blog party...

and every time we come up with something...

its already been done...

and then I came up with this...

it is so general that the possibilities are almost endless...

and we thought about not doing it every week...

so no one gets burnt out on it...

but one that you could work on for once a month...

and we all have collections...

and it would be fun to see what others collect...

and a chance to show and tell about our own collections...

so...

if I can get a linky to work...

I'm going to start this next Sunday...

and if you don't have time for get something together by then...

that's ok, just gear up for October...

all I ask is that you have at least 3 of something...

vintage would be nice...

and that you do not use the blog party to advertise...

Pink Saturday...

this is a vintage dutch ashtray bought here in town from a dealer friend's shop...

dutch items are almost always blue, so I grabbed this one because it was pink...

a "new" rose bowl that my son gave me for mother's day a few years ago...

2 ruby flashes juice glasses, vintage...

I gave $2 each for them...

not my pattern of King's Crown...

but they were flashed...

a small pink vintage vase that I picked up at an antique mall from another dealer friend...

all these pink things are in one of my curio cabinets...

they are things that I just had to have and haven't sold them yet...

probably never will...
