it's cooler...

and the feel of fall is here along with the look...

we went for a walk after lunch...

with the wind blowing, it's a bit nippy...

so take a look at our fall...

and the clouds are here today...

we did get some rain last night...

a touch of yellow amid the green...

back home things are still blooming...

but it's not for long...

this pot looks better every year...

it's not quite time for spooks...

but Doofus spooks easily...

Steve started the van...

he's our real scaredy cat...

enjoy the afternoon...

Who is your hero?...

we spend so much time each day reading newspapers, magazines and tabloids...

we want to know everything about every body...

what are they wearing, who are they dating,  what movie will they be in next...

but how much time do we really spend reading about the most amazing hero of all time?...

the one hero in our lives that really matters?...

the one who only asked us to learn of Him?...

to follow Him?...

to lean on Him?...

and only through Him will we meet the Father...

how much time do we spend planning vacations that are fleeting?...

would we leave home without our GPS?...

we all know the routine...

everything from hair, nails, mail, suitcase, tickets...

and we all know the departure times and arrival times...

and we still end up going half crazy just to relax...

but there's a bigger trip ahead of us all...

and we don't know the times...

it could be anytime...

any day...

any moment...

any breath...

are we ready?...

when I go...

I want the map I leave behind to look  like this...

and that who my hero was mattered...

hanging out, waiting for the rain to start...

some signs of fall...

still getting tomatoes...

corn cobs have a case of mold...

they won't be coming in now...

the cold front has come through and the next week will be better...

Steve has to work until 7 tonight...

but he has tomorrow off...

not too much longer with harvest...

just got the beans to go...

and then we can all get back to normal...

hope your weekend is smooth sailing and I want to wish my brother in law a Happy Birthday...

well, I am having problems with blogger...

if I do a post and upload photos with their new beta system...

I have to sign out and back in again before it shows that I am logged in...

which makes it hard to leave comments...

so if you all are having the same problem...

just log out...

and log back in and you will be ready to go again...

but it looks like we will have to do this everytime we post with photos until they can get this all lined out...

I just wish they would leave the fool thing alone...

darn kids and their micro chips...
