Pink Saturday!

it's that time again!
so get in shape...
so you can get to the pink party in style...
talk about cruisin' in style...

we need decorations...

and they must be pink...

and something for the table...

pink fun in a can!
sure beats silly string...

and spring jewelry for everyone!
what size do you need?

because we love pink saturdays around here...

and a little gift to remember the occassion...
a cool pink place to store your laptop when you aren't blogging...
and a nappin' place for your babies...
whether human or furry...
there's room for all...
well. unless your name's Rocky...
but he is foldable...

and...
as the other shopping posts...
this can all be found online at...
Walmart.com
GOD BLESS AND HELP JAPAN

s*p*r*i*n*g...

working a small area at a time...
yucky...
things are coming up here...
found my dirty egg...
this is not the way it's going to stay...
don't tell Craig yet!
but it looks better...
and it was fun rearranging things...
and we were very rushed this morning...
Craig went back to True Value and got 2 more rakes...
he loves the color orange...
not me...
not my color at all...
then back to the other side to finish it...
this is where the wagon was last year...
I had just run out of things to plant here last year...
and we were having to move the wagon every time the mower guy came...
so we stuck it in here and it stayed...
more green...
everything is still pretty wet...
so we rake off what we can and then...
when it dries out some more...
the leaf blower will do the rest without hurting the new growth...
and we really didn't have much time...
and it was windy and a little cooler out...
more damp cooler...
but this was cold when it hit...
almost as cold as an ice cube down your back...
and the shock of it...
it was enough to make us get in gear and move...
and the skies were dark and it poured and thundered...
but now it have stopped and lightened back up...
and the guys just got back...
been gone 3 hours...
that's another story...
hugs to you...

PRAY FOR JAPAN

Do not be silent...

a day of silence prayer...
lift up your voices and be heard in Heaven and on Earth...
silence is for the dead...
there's nothing left to be done for them...
how their souls were when they died cannot be changed...
the country did not die...
it is alive and struggling to survive...
take to the throne the children...
the families trying to stay together...
find shelter...
something to eat...
lift your voices up for the broken hearted...
do not forget them and do not let others forget...
and God bless the ones in the nuclear power plants who are knowingly sacrificing their lives to save the lives of others...
to save their country...
and the world...
they know the risks and continue doing their jobs...
they will be the true heroes in the history books...
I had heard men and women who do that sort of thing...
being called dead men walking...

how passive we have become when we allow the word silence to replace the word prayer...
if the word prayer offends you...
GOOD!
God gave me a voice that will not be silenced...
I will lift my voice toward Heaven...

Japan has been through so much and it is far from being over...
monetary donations are needed now...
but they will need more later...
and they will be in constant need of prayer and support...

get a hold of the Red Cross, your local churches and organizations...
they will need clothing, blankets, bottled water...
care packages like we send the troops...
personal care items...
toilet paper, kotex, diapers...
and later...
they will need school books and teaching supplies...
God will place on your heart what He wants you to do...
you...
the talented...
the organizers...
the faithful...
the need is great...
but God is greater...

be the voice of a weary people...
shout from the mountain tops on their behalf...
on this day of silence prayer...

BE HEARD!

what color is spring?

is it robin egg blue?
or is it yellow?
could it be pink?
or perhaps green and brown?
or faded brick red and a little white?

what's your favorite spring color?
St Patrick's Day may be all green...
but it brings a rainbow into our lives...

spring is one of God's sweetest gifts...
may we all bloom bright this season...
and bask in His sunshine...

When we put our cares in His hands...
He puts His peace in our hearts...

to give hope to those of you who still have snow...

front flower bed...
and 69 degrees...
Craig's new rake...
$6.99 at True Value...
on sale this month...
and it works great!
cleaning out the winter crud...
cart after cart full...
and look at the green that's already up!
and there's flies!
sedum is up...
daffodils...
iris...
day lilies and even mums...
even saw some weeds there!
the wind is so strong...
and some of the leaves blew right back in...
Bebe had to watch...
there is a lot more to do, but with every bed...
it feels better...
Robbie has been a bad boy...
he ran off yesterday afternoon and he ran off this morning...
bad dogs have to have the leash on...
Bebe stays with me where ever I am...
not Robbie...
he has his own minds and isn't listening anymore...
more puppy training ahead for this little guy...
maybe we can get a hose hooked up this weekend so we can start washing off the yuck of winter...

I have been having really good days in spite of the sinus trouble...
but not today...
I am achy...
we have rain coming and I can feel it in my bones...
I don't think it's going to be good...
but I have upped my PT for the upper body...
and I have been walking inside and out...
I still sit in my chair outside...
I don't want to push too hard and over do and get down...
slow and steady wins the race...
and since I can't be the hare anymore...
I have to do it the turtle way...

I have the kitchen window open...
it's good to blow the stink out!
Oh my gosh!
it just hit 71...
it's spring, it's spring!
oh yeah...
grabbin' the sunblock, my shades and out I go again...
need to dig out the shorts and tank tops soon...

the best feeling is green grass under bare feet...
minus glass, rocks and bees...
I can't wait!

hope  your day is green!
every shade of green...
