I'm late! I'm late!

can't believe it's Monday again...

DH has been home 10 straight days and it's been wonderful having him under foot...

he goes back to work tomorrow and maybe I can get lined out again...

a good morning kiss just starts the day off right...

DH never leaves for work without one...

makes my day go better, for sure...

remember...

it's always the little things that matter most...

they feed the birds...

and if they plant more...

that's fine with me...

I got up so late this morning...

it was after 8...

but we finally got around and went to town...

Dollar Tree, to see what was new and pick up a few things that I needed...

and then we went to Rural King...

the best plant and garden place around here...

and I found so many things that I would like to have in my yard...

I did pick up a yellow kids hoe...

so I can hoe sitting down...

grabbed a nice pair of flip flops for 25% off...

chocolate covered peanuts for DH...

begonias and coleus...

just one four pack of each...

I saw roses and trees and bushes...

gazing balls and trellises...

bird feeders and garden furniture...

got dog biscuits instead...

I had so much fun just looking at all the "new" things to me...

we went up one aisle and down another...

it was raining this morning...

not enough to do a lot of good, but enough to keep us from doing any yard work...

we got ice cream on the way out of town again...

49 cents is hard to beat...

and we ate lunch when we got home...

mower guy came this afternoon and got the yard done...

so it looks nice again...

trash is out to the road...

DH has one more day off and Craig has to work tomorrow...

I have to call the doctor in the morning...

my yeast infection is coming back...

started on the medicine that was left in the bottle from the first time...

hope he just calls in another perscription and I don't have to go back in...

boy, if this is a taste of things to come...

it's not going to be a good summer...

we aren't supposed to have this kind of heat under the last of July and August...

it has cooled down to 89 at 9pm...

thunderstorms north...

sat out a bit and watched the lightening...

the wind has died down completely and it's yucky out...

I asked DH why are we sitting out here and paying for the AC to be on in there?

so we are back in for good...

got 3 mum starts in peat pots this morning and they made it through the heat...

so think they will be ok...

keeping plenty of water for the birds...

they were lazy today...

cicadas made it to our neighborhood tonight...

they are so bad south of here, people down there have been complaining on facebook for over a week...

they come out every 13 years...

even though we have a few every year that don't have calendars...

this lone cloud was so pretty reflecting the setting sun this evening...

we were watering...

we waited until the last minute thinking that mower guy might show up...

hopefully he will be here tomorrow...

I kept thinking about NanaDiana's outside bathtub and wishing today that I had one...

my butt would have been in it for sure...

want to go shopping Monday, but if I wake up in the morning feeling really good...

we may just go tomorrow...

I want to stop by my booth and take a few things in...

to fill in the holes...

and fluff...

see if anything else has sold...

and get another 49 cent ice cream cone...

I have so missed the soft serve!

the swimming pool finally opened here today...

so we can get it out there now...

but not for 49 cents...

you know how bargains taste better!

it's a hot one here...

heat index is 97...

so all the work was done early this morning...

I will have to show you later, after the cold front comes through tonight, what we worked on...

cuz this chick doesn't do hot...

and we have just done nothing today...

really...

I can't stay on task...

I priced a few things and got bored...

so I watched HGTV...

got bored...

ate and got online and got bored again...

I have been bouncing back and forth and not doing anything...

the area where the fire pit was is all cleaned up and sowed...

and we have been waiting the last 2 days for mower guy to show up...

we had pretty clouds early this morning...

DH picked up some more flowers yesterday...

he liked these...

he said I didn't have any that looked like this...

we potted 3 more pots this morning...

you can never have too many pots...

my bff, Rebecca, just called from the camp ground...

she is having a great time with her family and my little pink kennel is working out just fine for Maggie...

she couldn't get her PS post linked from the camp ground on her iPad...

so I did it for her last night...

beef manhattans tonight for supper...

not cooking a lot tonight...

it's supposed to be much better tomorrow but with a chance of thunderstorms...

after all this heat, we could use the rain...
