we are so blessed...

and today as I walked around...

I wanted to share what makes me smile...

and I know we do not have what some do...

but God smiles on us anyway...

because all of that doesn't matter to Him...

this was my mother's shed...

she bought it just before she died...

we had it moved up here..

why I should have taken a nap this afternoon...

the rain last night washed all the yuck off of the roof and trees and I think it all landed on the potting table...

hotter days are coming and these guys can do the heat...

and turned the wood box on its side...

there are cubbies left for some cool stuff...

put this on the deck under the shade of the tree...

moved these over here...

and this is all I left on the table...

it was just getting too busy here and the view from the road and sidewalk just wasn't gettin' it...

and I did some more on it after supper in the dark...

not sure if I'm going to like what I did in the daylight...

have a few more projects to finish around here...

I would rather be outside than inside any day...

and I'm doing just what has to be done on the inside so we can play outside...

because those dog days of summer are coming...

and it will be too icky to be out there long...

and then the inside will get the attention it deserves...

until then...

it's chaos...

can't have anyone over syndrome...

bwahahahaha!

anyone shows up here might just end up pulling weeds while we visit!

another day in the yard...

well, things started out like this this morning...

we had thunderstorms through the night...

and almost 3 inches of rain...

cone flowers are opening now...

and we got DH's new coleus transplanted yesterday...

it's called Kong Mosaic...

they are his favorite plant ever...

bushes are blooming and smelling so sweet...

clematis has grown to the top of the trellis and heading back down again...

it hasn't bloomed and probably won't...

blooms on the tomatoes...

so it won't be long before I can start putting some in the freezer for chili this winter...

there is nothing better than home grown tomatoes...

I have noticed in a couple of my beds that the flowers are not as bright this year, so I need to add some acid this fall to the beds...

the sun came out while we were having lunch...

we went back out and tore into the deck area and moved things around so much!
