midnight photo shoot...

well, we have low lighting again on the deck...
it was getting pretty dark out there...
and last night, I had to wait to take my medicine...
and I was sitting out here when the thought came to me to grab my camera...
and that's what I did...
I need to remember to stock up on lights after Christmas...
I think we need to string some in the side yard next year...
and more for here...
summer nights are the best...

just four more days...

portulaca...
or rose moss, as my mom and grandma called it...
offers a variety...
and a new surprise every morning...
the rose of sharon is beginning to bloom...
not too many yet...
but soon...
this has been the best area for these on those nasty hot days...
pink and white snap dragons...
hypoestes...
pink splash...
spots make me giggle...

just four more days on my medicine and I should be cured...
it is making me so sick...
I can't garden...
clean house much...
I sure don't like this stuff at all...
I get ants in my pants so bad...
until I get up and move around...
then it's all over for awhile...
been watching tv...
a thing on the history channel about how bathrooms came to be...
and how people got rid of stuff before you could flush it...
very interesting...
I knew most of it already, but they showed how they make toilets and bathtubs...
having left overs for supper...
so there's not much to do but wait on DH to get home...
found a new string of christmas lights for the deck...
I had 3 small strings out there with the metal star covers and we were down to 1/2 of one working...
so we took them down and put the new ones up...
the metal star covers came off the old lights!
we were able to reuse them on the new lights!
I happy danced over that...
it should be a lot brighter out there tonight...
can't wait for it to get dark...
welp that's it for today...
pretty darn boring around here...

the end of another day...

the rescue babies are doing good...
they were sleeping...
all cuddled together...
volunteer at your local shelter...
found these at the Dollar Tree this weekend...
found this today at the antique mall when I went to stock my booth...
$1.95...
I love it...
found this basket there a couple weeks ago...
$4...
my view out the kitchen windows...
and these I took tonight as the sun was going down...
it's been a long weekend and it went by too fast...
Craig went with his friend, Tia, to watch the fireworks at the airport...
DH and I drove out in the country and sat on top of a hill and watched several...
he's in bed now and I will sit up until Craig gets home...
back to normal tomorrow...
hope you all had a good time...
night...

Happy 4th...

The American flag does not fly because the wind moves past it. The American flag flies from the last breath of each military member who has died protecting it. American soldiers don't fight because they hate what's in front of them...they fight because they love what's behind them.
I made this last week...
if anyone wants to use on their blog...
feel free...

just want to say hi...

DH and I had to go out and fill the bird feeder again...
and it's hot, but the worst part is the humidity...
I can do dry heat...
I hate sticky...
bottle bugs...
when it gets hot here, you can see it...
check out the corn behind there...
the roses are blooming again...
we sat out here in the shade for a bit and I walked about and got about 60 photos...
no, I didn't post them all...
I don't think blogger could handle it...
we had some dandy lightening last night and .8 of an inch of rain...
the lightening lasted forever...
and the storm it was in just hung out here for awhile...
and the idiots that we are...
we were out watching it...
someone was shooting off fireworks...
(they are illegal here)...
so we watched theirs...
and we haven't gotten much done today...
waiting for my son to bring our truck back so one of the guys can take him home...
DH and I may run in and do my booth in the morning...
if I feel better...
it's time to do supper...
have a great night...
