a woman's role...

think about the single most person who made the biggest impact on your life and you will probably figure out that it was a woman...
your mother...
grandmother...
aunt...
sister...
friend...

then think about who is watching you...
look at your children...
your grandchildren...
what "mark" are you leaving on them?
their friends?
co-workers, friends you hang with?

are you showing them the way?
the truth?
and the light?

are you showing them faith in the Father no matter what this life brings your way?
you know, it really doesn't matter what you SAY...
if you don't back up those words with ACTION...

it's all fine and dandy when things are going our way and we are getting what we want...
but how do you handle the times when we aren't?
do you throw up your hands and ask why?
do you sit and cry?
do you question HIS judgement?

do you not realize that you have the POWER to shape the morals and hearts of the nation yet to be?
with every selfless act you commit...
you are forging hearts of love and compassion...
you are lifting God's name on high and letting the world know where you stand...
that by living what you preach...
you are freeing your heart and soul to love and soar above all that is set in place to hinder you?
to hinder generations?

to carve away years of bitterness in the heart of a non-believer?
to show them that there is something better...
that their lives are worthy to be saved...
and they are worth being loved...

show them faith...
through prayer...
kindness...
generosity...
and you will change the world as we know it now...

we have the power through Christ to shine a light in this world that cannot be dimmed...
to bring love and peace and faith...
to hold onto each other...
to know what truly matters...
whatever it is that is eating away at you right now...
know this...
GOD LOVES YOU WITH ALL HIS HEART...
and He's got it covered...
fear not...
for He gave us the most powerful weapon against anything on earth or in Heaven...
and all we have to do is say the name...
JESUS...

for when you find that your path is no longer well lit...
it's time to stop and say that name...
so you can see your footsteps again...
yours...
and His...
right beside you...

for a friend, whom I love very much...
journey well...

don't forget...

that would be cool...
to go back to 20 with what I know now...
oh, boy...

busy day...
then a 3 hour nap...
geez, so far behind...
did see my bestie for a few minutes this afternoon...
we need to find more time for each other...
it will be after Christmas...
she works retail...
and the nightmare has begun...

DH saw Santa at Walmart today...
PLEEAAASEEE!
the turkey hasn't even been put out to thaw yet...

played outside a bit, but no work out there...
worked in here...
cleaning stuff...
laundry, just one load...
and then the babies...
who are almost ready to find their forever homes...
another week and they should be good to go...

saw something that made me go...
HUH?
my neighbor's rose of sharon is blooming for the second time this year...
yes it is...
have you ever seen that happen?
not me...
I will try to get pics tomorrow for you...

well, need to get a shower and find something to do until bedtime...
like bother guys...

night...

wonderful day...

this is up along the rail road...
it was a great sunny day, little on the chilly side...
but so fall...
feeling so much better tonight...
DH has the whole weekend off...
it's the first one in quite awhile...
and we are so thankful that we all got through harvest safe...

there is so much we could do this weekend...
but not going at hard...
we will get done what we get done and the rest can wait until next weekend...

after supper, DH and I drove 8 miles south to the deli and picked up a few things...
the drive was so nice and we watched the last bit of light leave the sky...
I am so glad to have him back...
;)
have a great weekend...
enjoy your family...

and to let God lead me in all areas of my life...
I have been so blessed this week with so many things...
and tonight, I am not feeling well...
but it's all in the timing...
I was good enough when the sun was out to be where I love to be...
and now that's its raining...
I'm stuck inside anyway...
God's timing?
I think so...
just another mountain to climb...

;)

one step at a time...
hanging onto Him...
I will make it just fine...

take a moment to pray for each other...
whatever our mountains may be...
blogging sisters praying in one voice that each of us has exactly what we need when we need it...
stand up and be strong in  Him...
know that the one within you is greater than anything this world has...
be strong, be great and shine...
I sparkle you...

(and no, Donna, it's not glitter!)

I will soon have plenty of time to...

catch up with all of you...
and leave comments...
answer comments...
for after all this warm weather...
tomorrow has a high of 49 and rain...
I will be stuck inside again...
but I did want to show what I have been playing with...
he got a little cranky...
I kept turning him around to get a better shot...
since there are no humming birds around now...
he lived to see another day...
we took the babies outside to play...
they have not been tested yet, so they have to stay in their kennel...
so this let them get out and run amuck...
they had a ball...
get it?
checking out all the new things...
look what's blooming still...
the rain should bring down more leaves...
and soon they will all be naked...

tonight, DH got home when the sun was still up...
harvest overtime is over!
I have my man back!

the truck had been pulling to the right...
so got it in today...
idler arm...
should be ready tomorrow morning...
that could have been a bad thing going 55...

had a stinkin' head ache all day...
but it's gone now...
didn't get much done, but I did get outside...
we sat outside after supper, which was at a normal time with all 3 of us at the table...
watched the pink sunset and the clouds come in...

listened to the frogs...
watched the birds circle around...
heard trucks hauling down the highway in the distance...
mowers, neighborhood dogs, and leaves rustling...
talked, laughed, caught  up....
simple things...
priceless things...
it's been a very good day...
hope yours was, too...
