piddle fartin' around...

that planter used to be terra cotta colored...
now its Krylon Fushion gumdrop...

and filled with rose moss...

celosia...

painted this little short post...
and dug a hole and stuck it in there...

ok, here is what I drug home last night...
a neighbor was going to toss it...

its shorter than my other one and covered in paint splatters...
and it was free!

spider wart...

peonies...
this is the most open one...

but the rest are trying really hard...

and this morning after we got back from our walk...
we sat on out butts and did this...
Doug didn't show this morning, so he will be here tomorrow...

the thermometer says its 68...
but its a chilly 68 to me...
Craig and I have been cold all day...
will have to shut the windows and turn it over to heat again tonight and tomorrow night...
been working out in the sun...

we both got naps in after lunch and need to find something else to do for a bit until DH gets home...
check out my other 2 posts today...

Prayers Needed....

Yesterday afternoon about 4:00pm, my son in law's father was on the roof of his tractor shed. As he started to come down the ladder, it fell, with him on it. Broke both wrists/arms, and cracked a vertebrae in his back. My 12 yr old grandson was there, and saw him fall, called his dad, and Brian called his nephew to go check. Of course, Bobby didn't want an ambulance, or to go to hospital. They took him to local hospital, and at about 6:20 last night, they med-flighted him to a larger hospital in Little Rock. Bobby was in shock by then, and we are waiting to hear complete list of injuries. He will be having surgery soon to repair arms, not sure about the back.
Bobby is 74, and has been through a lot, cancer twice, and other health issues. He can use all the prayers you are willing to send up. His wife, Barbara, can also use prayer, as well as the rest of the family.

This was posted by Jettie this morning.
If you have a moment, remember Bobby as the doctors do what they do.
Bobby is her daughter's father in law.

morning...

now ain't that the truth?
everything bad that you feel about yourself when you are trying the best you can and searching for the right path in God's light, comes from the devil...
he is trying to pull us all down with self pity, low self esteem and worry...
well, send him packing...
you don't need that in your life...
in Jesus' name, he has to flee...
that's the deal...
so soak up the holy spirit today and bask in the SON..
because life's too short to let him win even one little battle..

bwahahahaha...
yep, we do...

now go out and smile at someone...
you pass on God's love that way...
and make them wonder if you're just super sweet or cracked...
either way, it works...

have a great day...
I slept all night long and I can still move this morning...
breakfast, shower and dressed is done...
Just waiting on the boys...
Doug might be up today or tomorrow...
got Craig up once, but I hear him snoring again...
he went from his bed to mine...'
so, off I go to torment my children...
its going to be a fun day...

weeding in the afternoon...

I almost hated pulling this grass in front of the chippy old door...
reminds me of home on the farm...
there were always weeds around the barns and out buildings...

but they came out today...

this is a new, darker purple one...

and the yellow really glows like that in the sun...

and the iris are doing so good this year...

we stuck these little bulbs in here and there and they are just popping up every where...

so here is the main hired hand in progress...

as I sat here and pulled the grass...

had to get a couple shots before they were gone...
doesn't that say country to you?

these are going to be dark ones, too...

just pretty...
and its their first season here...

the first white one that bloomed is beginning to fade...

one of my favorite places in the yard...

and the weeds pile up fast...

soon to be...

ok, these are just fun...
Craig found them at a rummage sale and we painted them one color...
and they spin well...

almost finished...
and then he grabbed the camera...

for another senior moment...

the finished product...
the mulch is yet to come...
but I think we are about ready...

just wait until you see what I drug home from our walk tonight...
later...

"senior " photos...

been trying to take a good self photo this morning...
but no luck at all...
my arms are not long enough...
so Craig comes in and says he can do it...
says they look funny because they aren't natural...

so he takes 2 photos...
not bad...
better than what I did...
and I was pleased until he announced that he took my senior photos...
now with graduation upon us here in this tiny little town...
I am thinking great shots of a cute chick..
NO!
he says senior as in OLD...
to put on my application for the nursing home...
or if I get lost, to hand over to the cops so they can find me...

he thought it was funny...
I had to eat chocolate...
LOL

so there's your laugh for the day...
and my SENIOR photos...

have a good one...
