my crazy world this week...

I had the pleasure of holding her mama at this age...

she looks just like her...

and I have the pleasure of holding her until the 26th...

before she starts her new life...

a new and blessed life...

will she remember me?

no...

but I will never forget her...

the same with the new babies we got in yesterday morning...

but when you do for others, it changes them...

but it changes you more...

and we have our birds coming back again...

I have missed them...

its rainy here...

and its beginning to look like fall...

walnuts are falling...

feels like fall...

the farmers are almost done with the beans...

and then the corn will begin...

5-6 weeks on getting all of that in...

yields are good, very good this year...

should keep everyone busy right up to Thanksgiving...

doesn't seem possible that its coming up so fast...

weren't we just cooking out for the 4th?

you know its beginning to feel like fall when you have socks in the laundry again...

putting up the sun screen and the flip flops...

not really ready for the big nasty...

(winter)

stretching this time of the year out as far as I can...

putting things off that can be done in those freezing months...

just so I can go out and play a little more...

the closets will still be there...

and the walls...

as far as I am concerned...

if I can close a door or throw something over it...

and it doesn't smell or move...

it can wait till later...

got too much playing to get in before I have to stay in...

last night's photo shoot...

have you ever just sat down and start clicking?

especially in the early morning when the sun is coming up...

or in the evening as its going down?

the change of light gives you different images...

and sitting down...

gives you a different viewing point...

and before you know it...

you've clicked away 100 times or more...

and most of them with get tossed out...

but the ones you do keep can be awesome...

I am pretty sure next year, I want to add some ghosts...

big ones...

a handful of cheesecloth packages and a few kid's balls ought to do it...

I could use the scarecrows, too...

and we need to grab a couple more boxes of lights, just so we have them...

and I might end up painting a few more things, too...

we also need to grab some more candy...

Craig brought 2 bags home last weekend...

but they are dwindling quickly...

its just something about chocolate...

it vanishes without a trace around here...

well, except for the empty wrappers...

so that's our Halloween fun...

the neighbor kids were here last night to check it all out...

even Tori, the one you have been praying for...

she even walked down on her new foot...

and her hair is coming back in so curly!

cancer free so far...

I know she has miles to go, but she has come so far...

tis time we got our spooky on...

well, we finally got it up...

and it was a cooler day after yesterday's rain...

spent the morning in Paris with DH...

he took me to the medical clinic and I saw an NP for a Zpac...

a little shopping and a supposedly quick stop at Burger King...

which took 40 minutes...

and then home around 1 this afternoon...

after we ate, Craiger and I started out here...

and DH came along just in time to hang the bats in the tree...

so we officially have our spooky on now...

seems ours are so short now with it only being one day...

and they have only just begun...`

maybe I will get my man back by Thanksgiving...

and then again, maybe not...
