jingle bells...

our oldest son, Doug and his gf Paula were here for Sunday dinner...
made meatloaf, green beans and potatoes and cole slaw...
and we opened some presents...
Paula will be with her family on CHRISTmas day...

this is what they found for me...
a sweet little primitive angel...
which I love...
complete with rusty heart and wings...

and a vanilla cookie candle, my favorite smell...

and then today I got this in the mail from a dear blogging sistah...
she is one of a kind and I love her dearly...
I am not sure if you all know this or not...
or even if she knows this...
but butterflies are the symbol for fibromyalgia...
got things lined up to do the next couple of days...

Craig just left with 2 critters in the cat hauler...
on their way to their furr ever home...
Myra and Buckus...
mother and son...
a little bitty girl only had one wish for CHRISTmas...
a little orange kitty...
and guess who had one...
Craig works with the lady and he is meeting her in town in about half an hour...
so, there's going to be a happy little girl in a bit...
that leaves us 4 kitties and a dog...
enough for us...
Lester and Hermie will stay with us...

Craig works tomorrow until 8pm...
he will swing by and pick up his brother after work and then we will all be together for CHRISTmas eve and CHRISTmas...
the boys want to open presents CHRISTmas eve, when they get here...
then we will all cook the next day...
well, Lester wants to cuddle and won't leave me alone...
so I guess its time to get off of the computer...
Merry CHRISTmas!

prayers, please...

our neighbor passed away this morning from cancer...
if you could remember his family in prayer...
it would be so appreciated...
but we need prayers for his granddaughters, too...
Tori, the one who so bravely fought cancer and had a foot amputated...
is going in for a lung biopsy in the morning...
there are spots...
and some are glowing...
it could be cancer again...
and her sister with Crohns is having a transfusion tomorrow also...
the family is coping...
there is a peace to them all...
but they so need divine help to get through all of this...
this is my request for today...
remember them in your prayers this weekend...

welcome to our temporary winter wonderland...

went to bed with it snowing and sleeting and woke up to things like this happening all over town...

our bushes were sure hanging low...
I think they might be depressed...

took a few photos is a bit under statement...
more like a hundred...

it was a very wet, heavy snow and it clung to everything...
you know, if you are going to get it...
that's the very best kind to have...

so while I was waiting for it to quit making white outside...
I took some photos of what I played around with the night before...

I had one small tub and a basket of CHRISTmas to put out...
and put out I did...

so this is how this is going to roll this year...

not too much, just enough to make it fun...

and it won't be a major job putting it all back in a couple weeks...

yeah, can you believe that?
just a couple of weeks and this will all be over again...

there's not enough time between thanksgiving and CHRISTmas for me...

anyhoo...
here is outside again...

and I rode with DH up to get the mail and stop by the store...

not too bad and it was above freezing, so it was warmer than its been all week...

so I got to play in the snow and take lots of photos...

that's one serious farmer...

and back home to the roses...

shh....

they're sleeping...

have a wonderful day...
and count your blessings...
;)

update on several things and need some prayers...

first thing, my neighbor is about to cross over to the other side...
if he hasn't already...
the family are all gone from here, so they must have called them all back this morning...
not heard a word today...
but, he was taken to the hospital earlier this week and the dr said he wouldn't last the week...
and its Friday...
so...
the time is now...
keep his family in your prayers...
some of them haven't made it in yet...
got a snow storm coming in in just a couple hours...
5-7 inches or so...

been busy this morning finishing up the last of the toy drive...
delivered for 2 small ones last night...
and then learned of 2 more...
added another one this morning...
so when this weather clears and the roads are good...
we need to shop again...
ho ho ho...
;)

Craig hit a deer last night on his way home from work...
got the call...
'MOM, I'm ok...
but I hit a deer...
so I talked to him for a bit and he said it was just a small amount of damage to the front...
nothing leaking out underneath...
so I told him to drive it home slowly...
and he did...
DH wired the driver's side of the bumper back up last night...
and we got it in to the body shop here in town right now...
spent all morning storing toys. dropping things off at the school...
getting gift cards for 3 at the high school...
getting the mail and grocery shopping here in town before the truck went in...
fixer guy is going to stabilize it all for us...
then give us an estimate on getting it fixed after the first of the year...
and put the license plate back on it...
I tried to post a photo of it...
but blogger is being difficult this morning...
so will post it later...
got so much time coming being snowed in...
I promise a better post...
and I will come by and visit everyone...
so, got to scoot and get more done and then a nap...
so tired now...
;)

tis the season...

we got freezing rain on top of the little bit of s#$% we got the night before...

just enough to close all the area schools...

so happy we got what we had to do done before this hit...

Mr. Wiggles checking things out...

he wanted me to warn you about the yellow snow...
its not a good thing...

I only have one Christmas card so far...
but we haven't been up to the post office today...
our square is a very old brick paved one...
not the place to be when there is ice...
spent today cleaning...
sorting and reorganizing...
getting rid of clutter that just magically appears...
I have one small tote and a basket of Christmas stuff that I want to put out yet...
that will happen through the week...
it won't be long before we will be taking it all down again...

got a slow week planned...
and as long as the ice is out there, it will be inside...
except for Wednesday afternoon to the surgeon and shopping...
this is not a bad thing with the surgeon...
he's just the new guy there now and I want to touch base with him...
so he knows what's going on, and we will just keep an eye on things...
I really doubt if he will want to remove them...
they already know they are fibroid, so no biopsy...
but we may drain the milk gland with a needle...
if he wants to do nothing, then its getting new bras time...
and just being lumpy...
the cat scans showed nothing abnormal and no tumor in the pituitary gland...
so that's good...
xrays showed arthritis, but already knew that...
so, really, I'm good to go until the next tune up...

have a great evening...
;)
