all from one person who needed to purge...

we will scrub them up and paint...

already thinking into next year and where they will go and what will go in them...

the largest ones will be the beginning of my raised garden...

each year it gets harder for me to get down and plant and weed...

but oh, what I can do from a seated position...

I got a bunch of clay pots,,,

some with peeling paint...

which will only get washed up...

found these two pieces of milk glass in the lot, too...

the short one is hobnail and the taller one is a variation of hobnail...

we got 1.5 inches of rain last night...

woke up with it just pouring one time...

this is yesterday morning off of the deck...

as the sun was coming up...

and here is what I am NOT keeping...

posted them on facebook for free...

anyone can come and get what they want...

so far, no takers...

???

if no one claims them, we will sort again...

the nice ones will get washed and taken to The Spare Room...

a place up town where you can donate items or go in and shop...

and everything is free to whoever wants it...

its run in coalition with the food pantry...

the rest, we will pitch...

if it ever quits raining, we will get the driveway and walk sprayed for weeds...

homemade spray of course...

no roundup or other poisons...

but we need several dry days in a row for it to work...

and so far, that hasn't happened...

with all the rain and humidity...

everything is lush and green...

and everyone is walking around with funky hair...

its either bushing out or plastered to your head...

baseball caps are a favorite new accessory...

well, this isn't getting the towels washed or another book read...

so off you go to play in your own little world...

ever mindful that prayers are answered and faith is renewed by looking up...

and then back to Norton tech support to download my antivirus...

and we are up and running full steam...

so here are fence sections we did put up last week...

need to repaint the loungers and get new cushions!

which has not been easy lately with all the rainy days and humid temps...

working on getting this thinned out...

have the day lilies to go...

waiting on them to bloom and finish their cycle first...

bean greens are in the making!

I really pulled a lot out of here yesterday...

and took all the bricks out and did it again...

there is always a photo bomber around here...

I had someone give me a ton of pots yesterday...

we got those sorted this morning and the rest I have posted on facebook to give away to whoever wants them...

rose of sharon is making blooms...

tomatoes are so tall already...

its has really grown in the last couple of weeks...

I had this brick crack a corner off...

coming up in the crack is a purple plant...

and there was a maple tree in there, too...

pulled the maple and waiting see what this will become...

it really looks and feels like summer here now...

got the roses dead headed this morning...

keeping an eye on my viney friend...

they will take over everything if not kept in line...

we also did this with the bird bath...

hoping it cannot be tipped anymore...

the hydrangea are blooming very well this year...

thriving in the hot, humid sticky icky stuff out there...

they are right outside the kitchen windows...

and mom's ferns...

not one Japanese beetle...

yet...

and I did this up yesterday, too...

with DH's help, or course...

he only rolled his eyes a couple of times...

he's getting pretty good at it, too...

he did get a hair cut yesterday and I plucked the wild horned eyebrows from him...

you should have heard him complaining as I pulled each one of them!

put my little petunia pots on top of the half ladders...

its nice to have everything working again...

experiencing technical difficulties...

I am having problems downloading my images from my camera to the computer...

had to get tech support Friday night for the Norton Virus Protection that we run on all our puters...

and finally got it downloaded and working again...

and now the crazy part that downloads my images won't run...

went in and reinstalled all my disks...

(and a really cool editor that I thought that I had lost)

hence all the images today...

(I have been playing a bit)

went into Norton for tech help again and there were 54 in the queue...

so that means you have to wait FOREVER!

will work on it later, maybe even in the middle of the night so I can get in and out quickly...

in the meantime...

here is something to look at...

as I tell you about our day...

I know, boring, right?

I will post them as soon as I can get them out of my camera!

anyway, got up way too early...

like 1am...

bright eyed and bushy tailed...

did laundry and cleaned the kitchen...

played on the computer and read...

mower guy shows up and I am snoring away...

( I really don't snore, honest)

but the dog is jumping on me barking up a storm...

hobble out on the deck and had him the money over the rail...

without caffeine...but I did pee first...

(good thing)

as soon as I got woke up, Craig, Tia and I hit the side yard...

DH hit the burn pile...

we did some good out there...

came in for lunch at noon...

ate really good and all that...

back out for a bit and coming back in, I killed my knee walking through the threshold of the front door...

dumb...

so dumb...

iced is down and praying its ok...

(it really freakin' hurt!)

been looking for disks and installing stuff ever since...

did get a shower in there, too...

cuz I had a buddy crawling all over my back and couldn't get it squished with the bedroom door facing...

(now there's a sight)

the guys are napping...

Tia went home, she has to work this evening...

and I am still wide awake...

neighbor called and wanted to know if I wanted any pots...

she is getting rid of a bunch...

der...

going down in a bit and see what's in the pile...

we are having hot days...

but the mornings and evenings are bearable...

hope you are able to get out and enjoy some of this sunshine...

and the summer keeps speeding along...

got plans for the 4th??? 

we are watching fireworks right here in our very own little town!

they used to do them at the golf course every year about 30 years ago...

and then they quit...

some but hard working and crafty citizens came up with a plan...

mostly the local volunteer firemen!

to get them going again...

and want to add to the activities as the years go on...

like a little festival...

we use to have several throughout the years, but not anymore...

so, a very good thing for us!

anyhoo...

he's been waiting for 25 years now...

I would so love to crawl back into his lap again...

went out this morning, got a tad of rain through the night...

so we didn't have to water, thinking more might come this afternoon...

so we did a little rearranging with the fence sections...

took a walk, too...

dead headed a few things...

they have been spraying bad ties...

so will be replacing them this summer...

fun to watch how they do it...

mulberries are good bird feed...

and yes, they are pooping purple all over the place...

blooms on the green beans...

and my boy, who has some fun ideas sometimes...

thought it would be nice to watch the rain come in...

so we stopped and went out on the deck...

it was just a bare sprinkling going on...

so I did what any normal person would do...

I sat on the steps in the rain...

and it was nice, so I walked around and twirled around...

while my poor son thought his mom had lost her mind...
