we seem like a normal family...

had a down day yesterday...

but baby girl pooped in the litter box yesterday...

and they are starting to play around now...

still on the bottle and still being stimulated some...

guess who's getting a bath today...

and I'm not doing it...

I will bathe the other one...

poor guy has been Nick licked so much, bad hair day just doesn't cover it anymore...

DH is working 12 hours today...

up at 3am to get him off and feed the babies...

and do my post...

heading back to bed for the other half of the night sleep...

sweet dreams...

I love a quiet Sunday morning...

a moment of transition...

just like our lives and days right now...

4 new additions to the family...

but only here for a little while...

and they all get along pretty good...

our animals are used to us fostering...

and when new ones come in, they check them out and as long as they aren't aggressive coming in...

all is well in our little world...

the grape vine has really done well this year...

almost too well...

these were hiding underneath...

they popped up a few days ago...

our county fair finished last night...

and our sweet neighbor girlie didn't win the Little Miss pageant...

so she is trying again next year...

and soon, school will start here...

the pool will close for the year...

and Labor Day weekend is fast approaching...

only a few weeks of summer left before we begin to transition into fall...

and its been a mild, wet summer for us...

the last day of DH's days off...

vacation over...

he heads back in tomorrow morning...

so taking it easy today...

grilling out...

Craig has today off, too...

I save my rose petals...

for the winter months...

soon, these will sleep again...

take the time to gather it all in...

harvest the warm, sun filled days...

store them up for later...

and enjoy the peace of a Sunday morning...

doggie photo shoot...

the photo shoot went really well...

just grabbed my camera and the dogs and out we went...

sat down on the ground and just starting clicking away...

these should get Nick adopted soon...

just a couple of days ago, he was on death row...

when they picked him up, he was cowering in the corner of a shelter pen...

sad, alone and frightened...

48 hours later...

and this is what happened...

and he is recovering from surgery...

had some dangly things removed...

being treated for Lyme's disease...

so he is sore and achy right now...

but you couldn't tell it...

just look at that smile...

just imagine how much is going to change for him when his family find him online...

fall in love with his face, fill out the application...

set a time for pick up...

and then that initial meeting...

his first night in his forever home...

big things are going to happen for Nick...

Nick came tonight to stay until his mommy and daddy are found...

I don't think he will be here long, he is so sweet!

just a glimpse of the bedroom, but it is finished...

and after a trip to the hospital to take back my 24 hour urine sample...

we ate lunch at Burger King and then home again...

back up town here to help Kyle rearrange the furniture...

he has really sold down over the summer and ordered in about 5 new things...

this is one of them...

sofa and love seat...

love the pillows...

and an entertainment center for flat screens

I have been onto him about getting these in forever!

so this didn't take too long with 3 guys moving things around...

he is still pretty bare...

almost out of coffee and end tables...

and lamps!

needs more on the walls, too...

I am pupt...

had to take a nap this afternoon late...

had supper later than normal...

but I am holding my own...

got a little guy coming tomorrow...

we are fostering a smaller dog that they had to rescue quick from a kill shelter...

Nick will be here sometime tomorrow...

I am sure he won't be here long...

this rescue where we got Charlie moves an amazing amount of dogs...

and is able to find the most wonderful homes possible...

they have asked for volunteers and I put my hand up...

they have asked me to run their online auction...

should be fun...

if I don't buy too much...

hanging out tomorrow with the hubs...

cleaning and laundry, but nothing too hard...

we old folks need to rest up some after the last 2 days...
