Our Sunday late morning drive...

before we left- we dressed the scarecrow out front in something more springy...

it was a bit chillier than yesterday...

so riding with the window down and the heat on felt good...

this is huge tree...

we took Charlie, who is getting better at riding with us...

he looks out the window in the back seat...

those old tire flower beds are making a comeback...

maybe they should list these online for all those city people...

not much going on around here today...

resting up from yesterday...

and getting ready for this week to begin...

we have at least the next 10 days on the forecast in the 40s and 50s...

so no more yard work until it warms up a bit more than that...

it will give me time to do the inside things that need done...

and make more definite plans on the flower beds and what I want to plant this year...

so, have a good evening and rest up while you can...

morning will come soon enough...

Happy first day of Spring!

we have bloomers for the very first day of the season!

Craig and I raked 2 of the flower beds yesterday and found some green...

and some yellow...

its was a cloudy day yesterday and there was a nip to the air...

got the same nip this morning, but it doesn't seem as bad with the sun shining...

future project, when we can turn the water on outside again...

tons of things coming up here...

tulips...

daffodils...

lilac...

even the red maple is budding...

just a taste of things to come...

and its so exciting after the winter blahs...

we did our shopping last night...

so that's done for the week...

laundry and food prep today...

cut the watermelon already...

strawberries, cabbage and lettuce to go...

need to clean out the fridge...

let it go last week and you can sure tell this week...

so- scoot and have a fun day...

got lots to do...

oh, yeah...

feeling much better today!

been playing around with a new program...

and this is what I came up with...

still not real comfortable doing this one...

just not used to it...

but some of them came out pretty good...

I have a lot more practicing to do...

so will save that for my rainy day times...

figured out that I am allergic to the cat litter we were using...

switched that out last night and am much better...

still have the cold thingy going on...

but the watering eyes and dripping nose has stopped...

we had a rainy day yesterday, but hoping for a better weekend...

I have got so much to catch up on here...

laundry, cleaning...

the fun stuff that didn't magically go away...

I have no idea what we will be doing this weekend...

we really need to be getting the easter basket stuff and all that...

we have an April 1st birthday, too...

the oldest will be 34 this year...

so we need to be getting in gear with all of that before it happens and I'm not ready...

wouldn't be the first time...

no wonder my mom and grandparents just handed me a check for holidays...

I still have no clue where I got the shopping gene from...

it wasn't from them...

online rummage sales are awesome and purple finches are back!

I got this last week...

perfect for a fairy garden...

which I have wanted to do for years and just didn't happen...

super cute for a boy bear...

and a girl bear...

vintage linens...

my weakness...

and I found these so cheap...

they are medium size, like 14 inches tall...

with curved glass and all...

thought they were resin frames...

but they are heavy metal...

was going to paint them, but now, I think it would be a shame to...

can't decide...

just waiting for this cold to pass...

and go away...

none of us are at 100% yet...

but we're getting there...

the first day of spring is upon us...

and I will face it, kleenex in hand, if I must!

so ready to do more than sneeze, dribble and sleep!

we have turned off chilly here, but the weekend looks promising...

so aiming for feeling all better by the end of the week...

the snot factory has slowed down to a dull roar...

but its comfortable again...

so, going to hit it slowly today...

and see what I can get done and let the rest go...

if I get tired, I will lay down...

I am so grateful that I didn't have the stomach flu and this head cold at the same time...

that would have been so much fun...
