well, shoot...

this little one cannot live with our son, Doug...
the landlord wants a $300 deposit and $15 a month to have a pet...
so, she went back up for adoption...
but I have a friend who's grandson lost his buddy cat of many years...
and he's totally heart broken...
so we are pretty sure she is going home to him...
;o)
the medication doc wants me on is out of our reach...
with the other meds and bills, we just cannot do it...
he gave me a coupon for $100 off...
and with the 75% my insurance paid, it was still...
get this...
$113 a month...
that's for four injections...
one shot a week...
outrageous!
I am not doing it...
so I will call them, probably Monday...
and let them know...
but Craig is ok, just terribly bruised and he said he would be sore for several weeks...
;o)
kind of tired with all our running today and we did the grocery shopping at Kroger while we were there...

Have good weekends...
I see mowing in mine...
;o)
(we didn't mow last week)

up for adoption...

first up is Sadie...
and she has found her new home...

Doug will be taking her...

next in line is Katie...

and she is adorable...

and a little weird...
but so sweet...

last, but not least, is Toby...

looking for the family who will take him home...
and spoil him rotten...

Craig is back to work this morning...
they left me home alone...
its been awhile...
and I have all day to play around...
and do laundry and take naps...
and clean...
mostly take naps and play on the computer...
but don't tell on me!

have a great day!
;o)

when your baby walks away...

I did get some gardening time in yesterday...
while waiting for the truck to be towed back here...

it looks worse than what we thought on Friday...
we only saw it head on from a pretty good distance..

nothing came through the firewall...
the engine is sideways...

we gave the truck to our neighbor...
who is a mechanic...

for parts for his little truck...
and the tires...

he's pretty much going to strip it all down and re-do his...
he is thrilled to get it...

we will drive by it daily....
we can look out the living room window and see it...

and it doesn't bother me one bit...

God has given me a peace like none other I have ever had...
I prayed for it heading for Charleston on Friday to pick him up...
and its been here ever since...

now, if you didn't believe in angels before...
here's proof that they protect...
and keep safe...
what's really important in your life...
and they help them walk away from twisted metal...

there's peace in that...
knowing that angels are among us...
walking with us...
through everything we do...
everywhere we go...

it all came together...

we spent about 3 minutes with the insurance agent...
and they took care of the rest...

picked up what we needed at Walmart....
couldn't get into the clinic, but hit Burger King on the way home...

and then I called about this car...
she met us an hour later...

test drive and checked it all out...
and Craig wrote a check...

and we brought it home...
have to do all the legal stuff when the DMV opens on Tuesday...
but the day went so smoothly and prayers really do work...
I had a Sable years ago and dearly loved it...
I think he's going to be happy with this one...
;o)

he's ok...

 the truck...
not so much...

Craig was in an accident on his way to work yesterday afternoon...
I got the call...
"Mom, the truck's totaled, but I'm ok, got to go, the cops are here."

priorities change again...
looking for a car for him, dealing with the insurance, getting into the clinic...
think I have bronchitis...
will be busy this weekend getting all that done...
they gave him a few days off of work to look for something to drive...

but God was good and we got to keep the most important one...
;o)
he is fine, not a scratch...
seatbelt and air bag...
and an angel or two or three...

he has a ticket to pay...
I think they were both at fault, but its not worth fighting...
we only had liability on the truck...
so starting from scratch and this boy is going to be making his first car payment, ever...
the truck had 250,000 miles on it...
so...
I believe that something was going to go wrong, maybe terribly wrong with it...
and God took it away before that happened...

Craig is just sick about it...
but I keep telling him...
things happen for a reason...
;o)

keep us in your prayers this weekend...
that things fall into place for us...
he can't afford to lose his job...
for no transportation...
have a good weekend, yourselves...
