along the prairie...

its been a rough few days, but I am finally off of the antibiotics...

I think the things make me sicker than what I am taking them for sometimes...

baby ducks are one of my favorite things...

Craig was off the last two days and we had plans of going shopping...

but that didn't  happen...

because of me...

and DH has been coming in around 7 every night...

but not tonight...

supposed to be home at his normal time...

and not working tomorrow...

and there's rain coming in again...

so maybe only one day outside...

so we can shop when its raining...

taking a slow day...

things are caught up around here...

surprise!

I need to clean out the fridge...

its turned into a black hole with a light that comes on when you open the door...

can't find anything you go in for...

other than that, I am good to go...

I do need to make arrangements to get some of the kitties to their forever homes this weekend...

and we might be fostering Charlie's brother...

the rescue asked me Wednesday if we would...

and I am waiting to hear back from them...

its been 2 years since the boys have seen each other...

I think it might be nice for them...

I am not sure why he came back for his adopted home...

she did say he goes around in circles and the vet says there is a lesion on his brain...

but that is all it effects...

so, this little guy needs a chance to find the right place for him...

and we need to see what else is going on with him...

;o)

they were from a puppy mill and hard telling what they went through there...

so-

got another cloudy day here but no rain...

hanging with my little buddies and the one that eats us out of house and home...

a smidge of cleaning and we did a couple runs this morning...

supper's in the roaster and we're just cruising through this day...

a great way to spend my birthday...

got leaves...

to rake...

they've been coming down fast this week...

grateful for so many things today...

just being here is one of them...

and still semi mobile...

more good days than bad...

and guys who love me...

I need nothing more than that...

have a blessed day...

I think the rain has passed...

last weekend, we moved the old entertainment center in the kitchen...

for the microwave and storage...

we had the flat screen on top of it in the living room...

so we switched this with the fireplace mantle and put the tv on top of that...

lens fogged up real quick outside yesterday afternoon...

we got over 2.5 inches all together...

this is how Craig hooked up all the junk for the internet, phone and cable...

ITS NOT STAYING LIKE THIS...

rugrats hangin out on a rainy day...

the favorite toy of the week...

you would think we have a house full of kids or something...

well, we do, but the furry kind...

"NO, mom!  I'm not sharpening my claws on the recliner!"

yeah, right- caught in the act and I have proof...

Katie is looking for her home and we just haven't found it yet...

Toby is still waiting, too...

the sun is trying to emerge...

supposed to be a wonderfully cool weekend...

will be time to work outside a bit, and maybe on the kitchen...

I need to grab lunch, sooooo...

have good days...

under new management and ownership...

our local golf course went under new management a couple years ago...

a father and son team...

then, the first of this year, they bought it...

and have been busy making it beautiful...

makes me wish I could play again...

we missed the flooding around here so far...

we only got a trace of rain all weekend...

the Illinois State Fair didn't start out so well...

5.5 inches in a couple of hours...

it rained out opening night...

got a few of our local kids there with animals...

and all are doing good...

a little soggy, but ok...

we spent the weekend moving furniture around in the kitchen and living room...

laid carpet in the living room...

we moved my computer into the living room and got me out of the kitchen...

for now, to see if I like it better in here...

got a bunch of tweaking to do, be we love the floor plan now...

got some things to put away and a tote to resort and see what I really need to keep and let the rest go...

but today, I think will be a slow, piddly kind of day...

and a catch up on my rest day...

we are in the process of laying carpet in the living room...

rearranging furniture from living room and kitchen areas...

and will be trying very hard to be nice to each other...

DH and I worked on ridding the living room of all the smalls yesterday...

washing curtains and doilies...

planning on how this is coming down...

we also got a small drive in...

about 10 minutes worth...

but I did find some things to shoot...

what we don't get done today...

Craig and I can finish Wed and Thur...

he's got 2 days off in a row...

so that will help...

only a trace of rain so far...

but our state fair was flooded!

on opening night...

not a good way to get things started...
