four tornadoes last night...

DH and I went for a drive last night right before the storms came in...

soy beans...

there were four tornadoes on the ground north and south of us...

but we missed them all...

I haven't heard of anyone being hurt in them...

but football games happen here on Friday nights...

some of those schools sent everyone inside the schools...

they postponed ours until this morning...

and announced it before school was out yesterday...

we were safe, but the thunder is starting to boom here now...

and will this morning...

stay safe...

the weather is crazy!

its official!

its fall time here...

the pumpkin patch is open for business...

too early for me to go pick out anything yet...

don't want them rotting before Halloween...

but knowing its that time again...

its awesome!

I read in the paper yesterday afternoon that we have lost another family member...

my second cousin by marriage...

the funeral mass is this morning at 11...

if you could remember her family and friends today with a small prayer, it would be so appreciated...

she was 78 and one of the few left from that generation on my mom's side of the family...

she left one son and two sisters on this side...

got a foggy, rainy day going on here...

been up since 4 and most of the work is done...

got laundry going...

have a good weekend...

enjoy the days as they slip away quickly!

I enjoy my time here and can't wait to start potting again in the spring...

Tuesday night in a small prairie town...

had to go mail some bills off last night...

so we took the long way around to get back home...

it had been so hot during the day, but it did cool off some once the sun started down...

an old town...

flag football practice going on...

future cheerleaders...

and fishing at the dam...

quiet, simple...

and ready for fall football!

 and that's how we do evenings around here...

I am not sure if its just me or if we are all having problems...

I visited several places yesterday and tried to leave comments, but I think only 2 of them were successful...

I am getting around, but not sure if I am leaving anything behind!

if there is a problem, hopefully, it will be fixed soon...

staying in and staying low...

but the heat is back for the rest of the work week...

cooling off this weekend in the 70s...

and no more 90s after that!

so while summer takes one more breath here...

I am inside doing inside things...

that were neglected through the long weekend...

and enjoying some down time...

thinking fall and Halloween décor...

the tubs are out and ready to pop open, but not just yet...

I'll try to give it a couple more weeks...

but its not easy waiting!

looking forward to cooler days...
