what's blooming today...

we bought a 6 pack of these last year...

and they took off...

blogging buddy, Beth, told me they would reseed themselves...

and that they did...

in spades...

they just started opening...

and will keep this up until it frosts...

the are cleome...

I had purple, pink and white last year...

we shall see if any white show up this year...

heat warning for tomorrow...

not liking this at all...

I have dreaded this post...

last night, the big bunny came to eat at the feeder...

and I only took 19 shots of it...

look at all the veins in its ears...

so pretty...

we've had some pretty nice weather for a bit...

but its going back into the 90s tomorrow and all the fun will be over for awhile...

the weekend wasn't a good one for us...

Diddy passed away Saturday afternoon at 8 weeks old...

he was in the dryer with the critter towels...

I checked the dryer and lifted up several of them, checking to see if they were all damp...

they had not dried completely the first time through...

didn't see or feel him...

shut the door and turned in on...

never heard a thing...

DH and I were both within 10 feet of the dryer the whole time...

DH thinks he was knocked out in the first tumble and that the towels muffled the sounds...

we have cried for days...

still makes me sick to my stomach to think about it...

it was such a freak thing...

so unexpected...

how long have we been doing this and nothing like this has ever happened before...

then I had a dream last night...

my grandpa was holding Diddy...

and just smiling as big as could be...

its still hard...

hope your weekend was better...

some days are harder...

we lost Dexter yesterday right before noon...

the last one of ours that ate those cat treats...

Lester and Mr Wiggles were there...

and Lester helped Craig say good bye...

it never gets easy...

ever...

hot and sticky here...

we are spending very little time outside...

should get a break in the heat after today...

Doug was here for the weekend...

things are growing...

not much going on...

glad we got caught up before this wave hit...

mower is in the shop...

can't wait to get that back...

Steve had a good Father's day...

love this and hope it multiplies quickly...

it would look so good in the side  yard...

the bugs have been terrible the last few days, too...

shampooing the living room tomorrow...

Craig's off and he can help...

shouldn't take too long...

doggie baths and all that fun...

nothing real exciting...
