4th celebration...

I am in a fibro flare...

so my guys took my camera and went up to the car show...

they weren't gone very long...

its been so hot and humid...

heat advisories every day...

a native DJ comes home every year to do the car show with 50s-60s music...

they only had about half the cars...

many called to say it was just too hot to do the show...

hopefully, next year will be cooler...

darn weather...

I missed that and all the other activities, including the parade, which was in the hottest part of the day...

but I did see the fireworks...

 I stuck my nose out the door around 7 and it was so nasty out there...

so I took my shower and put on my gown...

but...

the humidity dropped by 9pm...

it usually just gets worse as the night goes on...

but not last night...

so DH drove us to the edge of town and we sat in the van...

me in my night gown...

and watched them...

they were half an hour later than usual...

and only lasted 20 minutes...

less than half of what they normally do...

but we didn't have to do out of town to see them...

laying low today...

got to get passed this!

oh, is it hot...

heat indexes at 110 here...

I am staying inside 99% of the time...

we had just over 4 inches of rain last week...

on a couple of downpours that laid the hydrangea flat...

they have not perked back up...

but they are still pretty...

not sure if I will be able to do our 4th of July celebration this weekend or not...

if the heat bothers me, I will turn around and go back inside and stay there...

we bought a 6 pack of these last year...

and they took off...

blogging buddy, Beth, told me they would reseed themselves...

and that they did...

in spades...

they just started opening...

and will keep this up until it frosts...

the are cleome...

I had purple, pink and white last year...

we shall see if any white show up this year...

heat warning for tomorrow...

not liking this at all...

I have dreaded this post...

last night, the big bunny came to eat at the feeder...

and I only took 19 shots of it...

look at all the veins in its ears...

so pretty...

we've had some pretty nice weather for a bit...

but its going back into the 90s tomorrow and all the fun will be over for awhile...

the weekend wasn't a good one for us...

Diddy passed away Saturday afternoon at 8 weeks old...

he was in the dryer with the critter towels...

I checked the dryer and lifted up several of them, checking to see if they were all damp...

they had not dried completely the first time through...

didn't see or feel him...

shut the door and turned in on...

never heard a thing...

DH and I were both within 10 feet of the dryer the whole time...

DH thinks he was knocked out in the first tumble and that the towels muffled the sounds...

we have cried for days...

still makes me sick to my stomach to think about it...

it was such a freak thing...

so unexpected...

how long have we been doing this and nothing like this has ever happened before...

then I had a dream last night...

my grandpa was holding Diddy...

and just smiling as big as could be...

its still hard...
