the guys had a great time...

last Thursday, they headed out of here around 4:30 am...

they had to drive about 45 minutes to catch the Amtrak to Chicago...

to watch the Cubs play at Wrigley Field...

they got off the train, walked 6 blocks, caught the red line and ended up right in front of the stadium...

and they had a fun time even though the Cubs lost that day...

Craig wanted outfield bleacher seats...

so they could see the whole game without problems of poles and such...

they left and caught the metro back to the train station...

in the 6 blocks of walking, Craig spotted an Italian place to have supper...

their train back was late leaving Chicago, so they didn't make it in here until around midnight...

DH was smart, he took Friday off, too...

Doug stayed with me several days and will be back one day this week to get his check up at the doctor's office...

will see if anything is out of whack with him and go from there...

we had a really good time...

he got most of the knots out of my neck and shoulders from last weekends doings...

so doing much better this week...

yard work happened over the weekend and we seemed to miss the rain every single day...

we got a few sprinkles here and there, so we spent a lot of time watering...

have good days!

taking another down day...

looking at some busy days coming...

so I don't want to fall apart in the middle of all that...

do want to make a Paris run on Friday with my guys...

hotter out today, too...

but will cool back down...

got a bit of rain over night, but nothing much...

no high winds...

roses- took the photos last night...

DH had to dust them last weekend...

ok, so no need to wait for a new cord for the new camera...

had a cord with my old camera...

(it doesn't fit the new one)

but...

I took my memory card out of the new camera and put it in the old camera and plugged it in...

and it worked! 

ha...just wait till they hear all about this around the supper table tonight...

(only took me all day to figure it out, but I did!)

even on a fibro day!

brain cells are not dead...

they just hang out on the beach way too often!

I am back, sorta...

my computer bit the dust a couple of weeks ago...

new one came yesterday,,,

but without a SD port to download my photos with...

need a cord to plug into the USB ports to do that...

Craig is looking...

been working hard in the yard and garden...

really sore today...

mama cat and all four babies found their forever home...

country home away from the major roads...

doing good, too...

garden looks good...

Craig found 4 red dogwood bushes on sale...

brought them home...

(I asked for a purple dogwood)

so close...

got 2 planted and trying to decide on the other 2...

maple pods/ helicopters mostly cleaned up...

(Can you ever get them all?)

pulling and mowing trees everywhere...

DH and Craig are taking the train to Chicago on Thursday...

Doug is coming to spend a couple days with me...

Friday, DH, Doug and I are heading to Paris to look for pepper plants and coleus...

will eat lunch at Burger King...

so- that's the plans for this week...

the dwarf lilac is in full bloom...

it was in the uppers 80s last weekend...

but yesterday was in the low 60s...

and breezy...

they just popped up in a few places...

one of the new hostas....

this should fill in this year...

transplanted 2 more rose bushes in there...

took half a down day yesterday and might do the same today...

Craig is off Wed, and we might get to work outside...

maybe...

if it warms up and doesn't rain...

babies are doing good...

growing and getting sassy...

will get some new photos of them this week...
