not really adulting today...

just a typical change in the weather kind of day...

I do not do coffee, but my mug is full of hot tea...

I need those house slippers!

mine are boring...

and was thinking I could use it for my blog...

for people to come in and make friends...

make posts...

say hi...

just hang out if you're bored...

I am running so far behind today...

I was on the phone this morning trying to get my Rx insurance straightened out, yet again...

went a different route this morning,  so hoping this one took...

but won't know for 7-10 business days...

ugh...

on the other hand...

the sun is shining...

its warming up...

and I am not blowing my nose so much...

pray for Matt...

he fell this morning...

they are back from Chicago for his dad's funeral...

had to go to the clinic for blood work...

they sent him to the er to make sure the fall wasn't heart related...

his dad's funeral is Thursday...

other than that...

its been uneventful here...

the critters are spoiled, fighting over the sun spots...

but generally happy and running things from their veiwpoint...

Craig's at work, but will be home soon...

DH is on his computer in the living room...

cause naptime is over...

just will be hanging out until it's time for supper...

so have a good rest of the day!

got up with my head plugged up again...

took some meds...

but they are making me sleepy and its not even 9am yet...

this is Carrie and Matt...

friends of ours...

our kids are friends...

Matt was diagnosed with leukemia last year...

the end of summer...

he is now on round 4 of chemo in a hospital in Chicago...

with Carrie by his side...

she has health problems of her own which she is putting off to take care of him...

they have 3 kids and 6 grandchildren...

when they started this journey, they had been taking care of their parents...

they had all four of them...

in December, Carrie's mother passed away...

in January, her father joined her...

now in February, Matt's father has made the trip to the other side also...

Brad is the oldest and lives in a different town, works full time and is the driver to take them back and forth from Chicago...

he is a close friend of Doug's, same age...

Eric, one of Craig's best friends...

moved in with them to help take care of his grandparents...

while his parents are off doing chemo...

Betsi, the youngest, lives in yet another town...

and holds it all together...

she takes care of them all...

and handles the fund raising...

communication with everyone waiting to hear how things are going...

mom of 3 kids...

running her own business from home...

their plates are just full...

they are christians...

they believe in prayer...

they have always been such good people...

this family does life together...

without fanfair, without drama...

they have not complained one time through all of this...

so if you have time today, this week...

could you say a prayer for them?

God knows what they need...

a shower is one of them...

it's 8 out this morning and the snow is covering the ground...

the birds are out in force at the feeder...

it will hang on today...

but it will melt tomorrow!
