there's a new chickie in blogland...

her name is Sherry and I love her blog...
if you need a new place to go and a bit of inspiration...
go check her out...
comments would make her day!

homemade gifts from a friend...

a friend of mine and I have been exchanging Christmas baskets for years now...
she stopped by this morning and we did our exchange...
that's a pringles can...
it had several gifts inside and hershey kisses...
then there were hearts with vintage keys...
and broken china ornaments...

a journal to record my goofy ideas...
homemade hand lotion, lip balm (honey vanilla and chocolate)  and soap...
leaf stepping stones that she made the molds from leaves in her garden...
a salt scrub...
a big cube with a swirly wire on top to hold a recipe, note, photo or card...
I love it all...
and all the lotions and scrubs are toxin free...

Happy White Wednesday!
and from my heart to yours...
a most blessed Merry Christmas to you and all you love...

Prayers...

I would like for everyone to  unite in a prayer that no more trials come to pass for us for the remaining days of 2010...
for all of us that are blogging buddies here...
that peace fill our homes and our hearts...
that the only tears shed will be those of joy...
and that we renew our souls in Jesus Christ...
and let Him lead us all into 2011...
peacefully...
joyfully...
spiritually...
whole...
and that we embrace each new door put before us with courage...
love...
and confidence in knowing who placed that door before us...
and  our faith is renewed with each new day...
each step we take...
and we will meet each trial holding His hand...
and we will walk through it...
triumphant...
ever praising His name...
because after all...
this life is only a test...
and it's not what we go through...
it's how we come through it...

Just wanted to share this...

Miss Me, But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not too long and not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love... that was once shared, miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take, and each must go alone.
It's all part of the master's plan, a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know,
and bury your sorrows in good deeds.
Miss me, but let me go.

This was a poem at my uncle's funeral yesterday.
My cousin posted it for all of us to read.
This totally says it all.

Dressing up a plain brown bag...

take a plain brown handled bag...
these I got at the Dollar Tree...
2/$1.00...
and then I used a glue stick and glued the envelope onto the bag at an angel...
just sign your card and stick in the front...
ME cards are great...
they come with the cutest envelopes...
and you can so embellish them so much more!
you can do this for any occassion and have the brown bags on hand...
any card will do...
just have fun with it...
